Saluda Shoals Park is a large, environmentally-sensitive park located on the banks of the Saluda River in Columbia, SC. The park has a variety of recreational activities for kids and adults, including hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing/kayaking, and playing at the water playground Saluda Splash.
Great place to bring the kids. Disability friendly and very fun playground. My kids love coming here and the events are always fun when they have them. They're expanding their other playground and can't wait to see it finished and see my kids play on it.

This is an excellent park to go to! Me and my friend did kayaking for $25 for a 2 seater kayak. It was a very great experience since it was my first time kayaking and at this park. There is a lot of turtles on the lake and they are so cute!!! We unfortunately got lost on the River, beware of the signs (unlike us). Fortunately, we were not fined and I am very thankful for that. The staff is amazing and very personable. You will have a great time!

I'm unsure if there is a charge to enter, it is managed by the State. When I visited I was with a field trip. They have a variety of activities like dog parks, splash pad, boat landings and trails. There are very scenic views in the different trails one can walk. It also has a lot of Pokémon stops for those who want to walk and play.

Well $5 admission is blah. The sprawling facilities they have certainly justify that fee, just not my style. Took the road bike around a really good mix of paved trails and roadways. Walked along the Saluda River and got some great photos. Definitely going to have to break out the kayak and fish it for trout.

$5 day use pass. Plenty of picnic shelters & paved trails for walking & running. Saw couple bicycles. Views of the Saluda river. Two entrances - East & West. The East entrance has the soccer fields & tennis courts. The park has 2 education/visitor centers. The river center was closed. Nice park to spend the afternoon walking along the river.

I started going to this park mainly because of the dog park. However, they have much more to offer that I still need to explore. My pack of huskies love it here! They love running freely in the 2 acre park. There are plenty of toys and balls for them to play with, two doggie pools, a water hose, a sandbox, benches, some agility course equipment, buckets and a hydrant for water, and a gazebo for owners to sit under. There are plenty of shaded areas for dogs to run around in as well. It also gives me peace of mind knowing that all dogs must be fully vaccinated to have access to the park. The park is secure with a passcode for that purpose. We really enjoy our visits and I can't wait to explore more activities at Saluda Shoals!

Lovely park with a variety of facilities. Playground, paved trails, river access, dog park, picnic shelters with grills, multiple restrooms with water fountains, splash pad, kayak and boat launch, business and event center, nature and environmental information center, bird garden, and a large deck with strung lighting. Dogs are allowed on trails on leash.

Great park, for toddlers and all ages. We took our toddler there, and he loved it. It's a huge park with a section called Leo's Landing, which is the place that kids mostly love.It has numerous structures, rides slides. It also has a small zip-line for ages 5 to 10 years. It even has a small place to sit back and read a book, with a selection of shared books in an owl shaped shelf. It also has a splash pad that would open this weekend, we still went to see it. It's a great place for kids n parents to hang out.
S. M — Google review
Five dollar entry that is well worth access to the park and Leo's Landing too. This is a great place to kayak, stroll, or let the kids run around at the inclusive and expanded playground. At the playground, there is just about anything you could want. Swings, slides, climbing toys, reading area, hammocks, pretend play houses, musical instruments, covered picnic areas, misters, and clean bathrooms. The playground area needs some upkeep though with broken features in pretend playhouses, especially, the sound tunnel, and the large tree features.

Perfect stop along hwy 26 on our way from FL… well worth it ; kiddos stretched their legs and had a blast we came here 30 minutes until closing and still was worthwhile. Beautiful thoughtful play equipment some is adaptive for wheelchairs. Lots of benches fun features , music stations , educational pieces. I loved how they incorporated wild life and lots of tadpoles , croaking frogs , singing birds.

Very good park but some activities dose not have schedule where and when is available.Need little more cleaning in bathrooms . But taking care of 400 acres lot not easy.

Nice shirt drive from downtown Columbia. It's a nice mix of urban features mixed in with natural features. Three drawbacks were gas powered blowers constantly going, and the river trail is not exactly along the river., it's inland. You have to take side trails to get to the river. And of course the siren, which we expected. We just would have liked a little more peace. Nice park overall though.
Kathie L — Google review
Love this park! I decided to bought a yearly pass, because I go at least three times a week with my dogs. A lot to explore in this park. Plenty parking, trails, sitting. Peaceful place to visit!

Went with the family to see the Christmas lights. What beautiful displays! And So worth the entry fee! We all loved it! Will definitely go back next year!

As always, great experience. Nice clean park with lots of space to roam around, kids splash pad is always a hit. Sheds are large enough to fit big families. Bathrooms are clean. Even have fenced-in space for dogs. Worth it.

Lots to do throughout & so much fun for families, especially on warm sunny days. There’s a huge all inclusive playground called Leo’s Landing, a second covered playground next to the splash pad, a dog park, Saluda river access, walking trails, picnic areas, etc etc etc!

Touch a truck event at the St Andrews entrance. Lots of fun for the little ones. I would recommend trying to go early if they do it again, as the giveaways run out. Great value for a 5$ parking fee.

Gunny K — Google review
Great place to watch a sunset. Go for a run, take in the lake. It offers amazing views. I wish the park itself would stay open until sunset. You can access the parking lot 24/7 and you can walk or run the dam. The park itself closes before sunset. : (
Darin H — Google review
The sunset is consistently beautiful on the lake, and the dam is a great place to see it. Commuters that drive across the dam every evening are lucky. I highly recommend parking in this lot, going for walk/run on the path that runs along dam, and watching the amazing sunset.

Great spot to run or walk along the dam for a pretty view. Free parking.

This parking lot has security cameras and is patrolled on a regular basis. Provides access to the 3 mile round trip dam walkway popular with runners and walkers. Inside the gate: costs $3.00 to enter or with a yearly pass $45.00 It has shelters for picnics and a sandy beach area for swimming from May to Labor day. It also has a very large grass lawn next to the lake for tanning in the sun and picnicking.

Good parking area for walking or running across the lake Murray dam. Picnic and restrooms closed. I think all activities area open on memorial day. Irmo side has picnic areas but no swimming.

I stayed here during the winter and had a great time! I went back to kayak on the Edisto and put in here. There was an abundance of wildlife! The birds were just singing away and I was the only person on the river. It was super nice and I will be back!!

The kids had a fun time kayaking around the main pond. The water was clear and you could see fish swimming around. Kids also had fun playing at the playground and playing checkers at the rangers station.

Great camp site! Very small and quiet.Staff was polite and helpful. The jungle trail has a lot of tree down (as of 10/12/24) which made it almost impassable.
Kaitlyn B — Google review
24 nice sized sites. Pay careful attention for trailer size. If it says 20 it doesn't fit anything bigger. There are some challenging sites to get into as well. Most sites have been upgraded to 20/30/50 and new water pipes. Staff was friendly.

Summer has ended, a weekday(s) camper and wheeee! Are just one of three. Nice park but the main road inside the park needs serious maintenance. I mean bring you super suspension 4 wheel because the pit holes seek to swallow a 20” and spits out bearings.

We had a great time. With the hot weather, we jumped in the Spring feed pond just through the woods nearby. Great marked trails for hiking!!

Another enjoyable CCC park. The loop drive is one way and returns you back outside the admissions both. The park office building was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. It has bathrooms, a sitting area the looks over the main pond and play area, and a picnic table.2 ponds for swimming Memorial Day-Labor Day.Playground has a climbing frame, a single slide and a couple swings. The jungle nature trail was an enjoyable hike but the boardwalk trail is closed. Only the north side of the trail is barred off. The South side, coming from the rest of the park, does not reflect as closed except part of the boardwalk is removed. No signs are posted noting this. The artesian well near the kayak ramp is still cold, clean and refreshing. The Fish Lake Shelter is a cool CCC structure in which we found a nest of baby birds. The campground looks nice and clean. All in all an enjoyable couple hours.

Came here Friday for the toured bike ride (i thought they rented bikes). The park ranger were very helpful. Although we didn't bring our own bicycles I'd definitely come back here again and kayak/bike the area.

I took my kids here and we had a blast. We looked at the river by the well, talked to the park ranger at the park office, enjoyed the brand new native garden, and swam in the pond. We had a great time and I really have to recommend swimming in the pond with small kids. It is very shallow and perfect for kids who don't know how to swim yet but still want to play in the water.

This is a great spot to camp, we've done so twice now in @Ramona_the_airstream . Campground is near, nestled in the pines. Bathrooms are decent, clean, and good hot showers.I love the natural spring there! I fill my water bottle on the way out every time. Delish. Also, we rented kayaks to float the river which is also a really neat experience. There's an easy walking trail from the campground, but that's it. More hiking opportunities would be neat.

Talk about a getaway! This was the first time my family and I event camping together and talk about a wonderful, peaceful experience! The campsite was so spacious (for our tent), the area was clean and the noise stayed low. This is a family friendly place to go and one the the 47 SC state parks to visit (#1 on the park map). We loved it here, we went hiking on the multiple trails and found them to be accessible. Since we went during the month of March we did not attempt to go in the water or kayaking but you are able to do so. They do have your typical showers and restrooms. The campsite does have a picnic table and grill. I believe they have a playground for the kids. There is a small store to get a few things but now much. The state park isn't close to much so make sure to pack what you need. Overall, great park!

A lovely place to stay when you need to get away from it all. This park is nothing fancy but it is clean. Bathroom is old but serviceable. A nice place to canoe and fish. Wonderful play area for the kids and picnic area for the adults. Bring your bug spray and your best vacuum cleaner. Trails are easy to navigate. The campground boasts new electrical and water hookup. The spaces are level but the road needs to be better maintained as some pretty impressive puddles will develop after a good rain. This park in not conveniently located near shopping mall and so forth but there is a dollar store ten minutes away to help you out with those forgotten items. Check-in was super easy as the staff leaves the tags on the post of the place you reserved. Just tell the person at the booth who you are and drive on in. There is one bathroom facility for the entire park and there are 24 spaces for camping. The dump station was easy to use but oddly located. This place ain't fancy but it is clean and quiet. If you want a place to unwind you'll like Aiken State park.

Looks like a great place to drop in canoes. The jungle trail loop was flooded out when we visited so we had to walk on the loop road for a bit. Really cool that springs are feeding the river and lakes/ponds. Good place to enjoy nature.
Mark S — Google review
Very quiet place. Not a whole lot to do. Children's pond completely claimed by vegetation. Swimming area is run down. The beach is gone. Fresh cut grass is covering the pond.Don't bring a Fifth wheel. The camping area is very tight and only a well seasoned driver will miss the trees.
Craig M — Google review
Nice, smaller state park! Faith (park ranger) and Mr. Joel (campground host) were both amazing people to interact with. We caught a bass in Fish Lake and enjoyed drinking out of the artesian fountain by the canoe drop in.
Allison W — Google review
The campground was very nice!! One thing to note, it's VERY dark at night, so make sure to have lights/flashlights at your campsite. It is a very nice campground, with lots of beautiful trees, and good-sized campsites. The gate code changed Monday night, and we had left the campground. When we returned, we weren't able to get back in, because we didn't know the code changed. We got an email, with the gate code change, about 20 minutes later, after my husband already started walking to talk to the camp host.

Wonderfully quiet State Park! We loved camping in the pine forest and really liked the large sites. Unfortunately the Jungle Trial was a little flooded and we weren't aware before venturing off but we still had a lovely hike.
Allison H — Google review
Had a great time during our stay. The spaces are appropriately spread out. Public facilities were clean. The only suggestion I even had was that the road on the camp ground loop could use maintenance. There were areas holding water that you had to drive through and some were quite large. Love how there were trails right off the campground loop and easy access to the pond. We had our 11 year old son and 2.5 year old Cane Corso with us and they also enjoyed themselves. My son said there were lots of areas he could make into jumps on his bike (not large jumps or anything dangerous) and there was open areas where we were able to throw the football.

Monetta Drive In Theatre
Drive-in movie theater
Fun & Games
Movie Theaters
Seasonal, weekend-only drive-in theater with double features, snack-bar food & a kids' play area.
The Big Mo drive-in movie theater is truly a gem. I was willing to drive over an hour just to experience its unique charm, and it did not disappoint. Having visited before, I'm certain I'll return again in the future. One of the standout features is the reasonable pricing, making it an appealing choice for movie enthusiasts. The delicious taste of the popcorn was a delightful surprise, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The drive-in atmosphere itself is captivating, offering a nostalgic touch that's hard to find elsewhere. While the experience is predominantly positive, it's worth noting that some other cars can occasionally be a distraction with their loud engines and people smoking. However, this minor inconvenience is balanced out by the overwhelmingly pleasant attitude of most attendees. In conclusion, The Big Mo drive-in movie theater is a must-visit destination. Its unique appeal, reasonable prices, and flavorful popcorn make it an ideal spot for movie lovers seeking something different. While the occasional disturbances from other cars might occur, the overall experience and friendly crowd make it a fantastic place to enjoy a movie night under the stars.
Reed S — Google review
The Big Mo is the best. It's a 50 min drive from where I live but worth it. Best deal in watching movies. There really is nothing like sitting outside under the stars and watching movies, it's $10 bucks for a double feature. The concession stand is the best, the food is delicious, although, get in line early everybody wants some too you don't want to miss any of your movie. Don't sleep on this awesome place I've been going here since I got my driver's license in 2004. It's great if you have kids, go early they have a playground. The staff is always friendly.
Don L — Google review
The Big Mo has always been our family favorite. It's outdoors enjoying nature while enjoying two features on a big screenIt brings back that nostalgic feeling every time we go and our kids are able to experience the movie going adventure the way we did as kids.Highly recommend The Big Mo

Great deal for newer movies ~double feature~ Decent bathrooms, concession stand, and well organized. Would recommend bringing along some bug spray just in case.My only concern is that some children run up between cars when it is dark out, so keep track of you kiddos or give them some reflective gear because there are no lights in the parking area to turn off when the movie starts.

First time at a drive in and I was pleasantly surprised. Still prefer the movie theater but it was really cool. A must try experience and bring your bug spray lol will be back
Jay J — Google review
Awesome place to watch a movie if you don’t want to run your car bring a radio or go early to purchase one before they run out. They have three screens for showings that are big and a good deal for the money with two movies showing back to back
Jess D — Google review
They get 5 stars for the nostalgia! It is a dated facility (admission was cash only), but who cares, it's a drive in. My 5 year old loved it! First run movies and it was way cheaper than the theaters. Some families actually sat outside in lawn chairs but we stayed in the car eating our favorite pizza that we bought with us! We will continue to support this establishment.
Mark B — Google review
We love the Big Mo! The prices are reasonable, the food stands offer a large variety of food and drinks, and there’s no bad “seat” in the house. The food lines get really long, so either bring your own snacks or get there early. Bring lawn chairs or blankets and pillows to lay on the ground or in your trunk. Don’t forget the bug spray!
Lexi H — Google review
A drive-in theater is rare in the year 2023, so I was thrilled to find this hidden gem. There are 3 screens each showing 2 movies a night on the nights they are open. Unlike in old drive-in theaters you listen to the movie through your car radio. There is a playground for the kids until the show starts. This is a place where the entire family (pets included) can enjoy an evening of entertainment. The food and restrooms are located in the giant "peach." Food prices are reasonable compared to many other family outings but if you are looking to minimize costs you can bring in snacks or a picnic from home. The restrooms are also in the Peach. They were my only real issue with the experience. It is an older building so I did not expect any new amenities but there are only two stalls in the girls bathroom. One stall seems like it was an afterthought because it is so tiny you cannot move to close or open the door. It will make you feel claustrophobic. And, you definitely cannot fit in there with your young child.I noticed people around us brought air mattresses and laid them in the bed of their trucks to watch movies with pillows and blankets. Watching a movie under the stars is a unique experience that many people are not used to. Until visiting the Big Mo, I had not been to a drive-in theater since I was very young (think E.T.) and it made me very nostalgic for a simpler way of life. We drove the 45 minutes from Augusta for the experience and will definitely be returning for family nights more often.
Beth C — Google review
Fun, clean, and safe. We really enjoy going there. They have a concession stand and restrooms. We sit in front of our car in our chairs and listen to movie on radio. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You want regret it.

It's always great fun. Went Saturday night. Was a nice crowd but not overly crowded. Prices were reasonable and the food was nice for theater food. Would always recommend going.

I have always wanted to go to a drive in movie. I finally got the chance. Nice place to visit. Clean bathrooms near field 3 and good concessions. One field has a play ground for kids. You should always go early to get a good spot. Enjoyed the community; people were out with their families with blankets and food and fun while we all waited for the movie. I did not have cell service while I was out there but some did.
Marqell C — Google review
So I went to the Monetta Drive In Theatre yesterday evening with my family we selected a pg13 movie which was a little more gruesome then what one would attest to being pg13. Us having the kids we decided to leave 20 minutes into screening including advertisements and requested a refund or even a partial refund for the $40 we spent not to mention the $35 we spent on concessions items for the movie. The so called owner at the entrance way told my spouse had we would of left 10 minutes into screen time he would've refunded but refused us because of it being a few more minutes past that. I went to talk to him I pleaded with him and asked for even just $10 back just anything in good faith and he refused saying he would have to take it out of his own pocket because we've already been admitted and they have rules to their providers of the movies (or whatever). Interesting that he mentioned he would've refunded but then told me a different story all together. This being said I would recommend/request that my fellow veterans and brother Masonic Lantern (masons) remember this as to considering buying a ticket to the "Big Mo".I decided to have a family fun night on a Friday night and I selected a bad movie unknowingly so I admit fault but even a $10 gesture or a ticket or admittance to another movie would've been appreciated. Had it been any other theater such as AMC or Regal they wouldn't have even made a stink about it and returned the money on first request as they have done before.I was very respectful and I didn't raise a fuss and instead asked him for mercy to which none was given. Again I understand this is what happens and I understand business doesn't make money by giving it away. The owner made money from the concessions alone not to mention the 40 from admittance.I don't think the owner of the MO is appreciative of being honorable to a family or to his local patrons. So I again ask all of my vast group of brethern to consider this before you take your family to this establishment. To the Big Mo I'd recommend for business practice you guys put atleast a sign out that says no refunds.

Been coming here since I was a kiddo. I'm glad they have remained open and still use the "old" commercials. We seen Beetlejuice 2, on opening night and had no issues getting in or parking. The only negative thing I have to say, is there needs to be clearer exit signs throughout the parking lots because too many people attempted to go out the entrance and caused a huge traffic mess. Other than that we had a great time and definitely will be back.

Last night was our first concert at the Newberry Opera House. Wow is all I can say. The moment we walked into the door we were greeted warmly by the staff, which included the director of the opera house! The facility was spotless, the sound was clear as a bell, and the Sierra Hull and Justin Moses show was about as good as a concert could possibly be.If you’re looking for an intimate venue to see a show, this is the placeWe can’t wait to see another show at the Newberry Opera House!

This place is the best facility in the neighborhood for concerts. Great variety, and every seat has incredible acoustics. I got a tip from a patron the last time I went. He said the "very best" acoustics were in the back of the center seats under the cover. The ceiling there adds to the overall sound by "enclosing" the sound. Like sitting inside a high-quality loud speaker. Honestly, I didn't think you could improve the acoustics no matter where you sat. Looking forward to trying that next time we go. Beverages a little pricey.

Drove 2.5 hours to this venue for a really good show. Nice place with even nicer staff. Photosensitive people should be aware of the flashing lights on the audience during some of the concerts here.

Pleasant and helpful staff, beautiful venue. Nice blend of events, a bit pricey for the area though. clean/well stocked restrooms, refreshments served for most of show, acoustics were off tonight but perhaps that can be adjusted per performance. I’ve heard other patrons have same complaint. Is why I have deferred some events and gone to Charlotte, greenville, ATL. Not sure if is just design of venue ( which is a fabulous restored old theater), modifications, or sound adjustment altogether. I am told it can be adjusted but it may be up to the performers.

The Wizard of Oz was a great show. The kids did a fantastic job. Being assisted by a nice worker can make such a difference in your experience. When someone is friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about making sure you're taken care of, it creates such a positive atmosphere. This was my first visit to the Newberry Opera House and I was impressed with the facility and the staff. I definitely plan to attend more events now that I have been there.

It's always a wonderful experience, visiting the Opera House. The ELO tribute band was awesome and the staff made feel safe and comfortable.

Kudos to NOH, for "The Polar Express" show. Took my 3 grandkids and between the hot chocolate and cookies and treats, plus crafts all free, it was well over the ticket price of $5. Thank y'all so much for doing this for the kids. It was fantastic!

Can't, for the life of me, figure out why this place wasn't more busy. Beautiful place. Unbeatable price on camping and rentals. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Couldn't ask for me. My family is excited to go back!

My 22-year-old son and myself went to hickory knob State Park for a couple of days just to see the sites because I'm doing the ultimate outsider adventure. So we went there so that I could get my stamp. Our accommodations or so nice! We stayed in the lodge and the view was beautiful there was a small forest area and then a lake that we overlooked from our balcony. The beds were comfortable the room that we had also had a kitchen area and a little living room area. We loved it! The people were super nice. We walked on two out of three of the trails and enjoyed that experience. My only complaint is that everything else was closed. The restaurant was closed. The snack bar in the golf shop was closed. They said it was opened but when we went there the lady told me that all she had to serve me was too hot dogs and a grilled cheese sandwich if I wanted that. Also we asked if we could rent a golf cart just to ride around the green on the designated trails and we were told no. If you are not golfing you cannot rent a golf cart that was very unfortunate as the golf course was beautiful and we would have liked to have ridden around it. My son would have liked to have done the archery but you have to give them 24 hours notice so that they can have someone available to go out on the field with you and when you're only there for two days it's hard to give 24 hours notice so that was disappointing. All in all even with the disappointments I would go back to hickory knob maybe not in the fall and the winner because it is closed up and unless you want to walk the trails which we did and loved. I forgot to mention the deer. There were deer everywhere and they were not afraid of people. You could be rather close and watch them. There are a few pictures of the deer. That was exciting.

Went here for a retreat and the scenery never disappoints! Went out on the kayak early early and it was just so peaceful. The tranquility was out of this world! BUT… I wish I could say the same about the room. The tub kept clogging and filling up. While showering all that dirty water was at ankle level. The AC unit was set to the lowest setting with the highest speed and i ended up just cracking the door open throughout the night because it never got cool. The room smelled a bit moldy and there were long hairs on the bathroom floor. Not really the cleanliness. But still had a great time.

Park is beautiful. Lake is big and lots of fishing. Hiking and biking trails were fine. Golf course (not played) looked pretty nice. Everyone was nice.Rooms are in need of a refresh. It’s a park hotel so expectations weren’t high. Shower controls didn’t work and hot water was off or full blast and very hot. Room was otherwise fine.

We loved our stay at Hickory Knob!! I'm a professor at a college, and we stayed here during the school's spring break (early March). We stayed in one of the cabins. It had a small kitchen for making your own meals, which we really appreciated having.Kayaking was amazing! We had never been before. We were kind of expecting a ranger to be available to show us what to do, but it was a "figure it out" kind of experience. It wasn't bad, that just caught us off guard. But kayaking wasn't hard to figure out.The golf course was great! Very clean and clear with fun and challenging courses. A very nice lady working at the golf center gave us a deal on a 9-hole for two. She also gave us a lot of information on what to do in town.If you come, walk/hike the Lakeview loop trail. It's a beautiful ~7 mile trail with gorgeous views of the Savannah river. It's not a difficult walk; it's just a longer trail. Bring some water and a snack 😉The only part of our stay that I didn't like was the washer and dryer on site. There's one on site for guests to use. After using them, our laundry had a funky smell. Don't know if all the river water didnt't clear out and I should have washed it a second time before drying, but it just smelled weird. Other than that, we loved our stay. Some of the other reviews made me laugh; like "it was muddy" or others like it. You know you're at a state park, right?! When it rains, it gets muddy 😆😆😆 Anyways, we loved it here. This is the perfect place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with your loved ones and nature ♥️

I had the pleasure of visiting the park for the first time for a sunset kayaking tour. Park Ranger Olivia Vasquez was an exceptional host for this event. Before we set off, she introduced herself, provided pertinent information about the park, conducted a safety briefing, and explained the route we would be taking. During the paddle, she shared her knowledge about the wildlife we might encounter and made an effort to interact with everyone individually. I am eager to return and further explore the park and its surrounding waterways. Thanks Olivia!

This was our first visit, but definitely not the last. We absolutely loved our campsite with access to the lake. Some of the site are difficult to access for bigger rigs.... luckily we didn't have an issue.Bathhouse was clean, and things were surprisingly quiet for new years eve.We treated ourselves to the New Year's buffet at the park restaurant & it was good. Overall great experience!

This is a review for camping only. In my 30 years of camping, I've only gone to 2 other campsites worse than this. The sites are great and shaded. Having access to golfing and a lake are also fun. There should be warning signs for gators though. But you cannot enjoy the sounds, or smells, of nature. We came for labor day and it reeks of weed day and night. Campers compete with how loud they can blast their speakers. The few times I've seen a Ranger, they were just flying by in their trucks, so be careful when allowing your kids across the road to go to the bathhouse. We tried going to the small pool twice and both times it was packed with a large family reunion 1st and then a huge birthday party the 2nd time. The chlorine levels in the pool were so high, it doesn't legally pass inspection anyways. The people beside us left a day early because they didn't want to deal with it anymore. We've decided to do the same as it wasn't the peaceful vacation we were hoping for.

Beautiful views! We hooked up our RV to 30A source and we’re able to start the AC compressor. Sites are somewhat level. We stayed on the main road and not the waters edge sites because the size and level of the sites were more for our needs. Clean facilities. Access to the lake with canoe at the turn around. Would definitely come back. Golfing was inexpensive and lots of other activities available. Would be a great place for family reunion or group get together.

We recently moved into SLV McCormick SC. As a Google guide I try to visit all establishments nearby and give an honest assessment of the business. After touring Baker Park just 4 miles away my expectations were low. Our friends are living in a camper while their house is being built. This place is a class act. Even better than Elijah State Park just over the bridge. There are activities going on almost everyday but what really stopped us in our tracks was the cleanliness of the facilities and the professionalism of the Staff. A+++

Stayed for the weekend at the blue lodges on the property. It looked like the rooms were recently renovated to a more modern feel. It was very comfortable. The room had a bit of a chemical smell which I was led to believe was from the cleaning products. We helped reduce this by lighting a candle. The Internet is rather slow here and it looks like that's how the TV service is provided. We ran into some technical troubles with the TV but that wasn't a big concern given that we weren't there to stay and watch TV. Beautiful park and friendly staff. Plenty of amenities. Pool, playground, Cornhole, community grill, putting green, and more.My wife and I also explored the Lakeview loop on our bikes. There were 4 trees down. Needs some maintenance. You're welcome future hikers.. I cleared all the spider webs with my face and body. 🤣😦

At one time this was a wonderful park and it's still a nice place to go. The staff is very nice. But it is going downhill due to lack of funding. I wish my taxes went to keeping up the State Parks and not to frivolous items. The restaurant used to be very good but now it's not open most of the time because there is no help. The cabins are falling apart. Golf course is good

TREAT FOR ANTS. In all my years of camping, I've never fought off ants like I had to here. We went to the ranger station, and three rangers just stood there doing nothing while 2 more ladies manned the registers. They advised us to go to Dollar General (a 40-minute drive round trip) to get ant killer. Not one site was cleaned after people left during our stay. A blower and ant killer would make a world of difference. The path to the lake was incredibly steep, with no added steps like any typical park would add for safety. I'd rather pay a little more for a maintained campsite. The roads are washed out. It seems like all focus is on the golf course. There is no signage to tell you where to go. Continue straight 3 miles to check into the ranger station; that is just common sense. We will not be back to this "resort."
Jakob T — Google review
Our final park and we became Ultimate Outsiders here. There's a lot to do, the main things are kayaking and hiking. I also recommend checking out the restaurant, as the food is excellent.

Wish we had a microwave, we do have a small fridge, and we had a dog friendly room. It has its own private back porch with adirondack double wood chairs with lakeview. No service was needed, but pickup key. There are no restaurants, and the only food lion is 15 minutes by car. If I ever come back, it would be for a peaceful downtime 2 days maximum. Read and hike with my girls

We had a very nice campsite on the lake. Hiked and mostly relaxed because of the heat. A bad storm caused us to leave a few days early. The park has a beautiful golf course, several hiking trails, swimming pool, playground, cabins, restaurant and more. Lake is big and beautiful.

Secluded, peaceful.Talk about quiet 🤫.This place is away from the noise and rush of a big city. Our first time visiting, GPS took us to a big BARN, keep driving past the golf course, then we found the main check in. Our room overlooking the lake was older, but nice. Clean. TV, microwave and small refrigerator.10:00 am check out time seems a bit earlyOther than that, a very nice weekend getaway.Breakfast at the lodge was decent. Price was good.

This was an awesome day trip. The plantation is beautifully reserved and Suzanne, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable in answering all of our questions. You can tell that a lot of love has been put into restoring these homes to their original era in time. The brick house was definitely a grand mansion in its day. I loved hearing all of the stories that Suzanne shared with us. She is truly a gem.Looking forward to going back in October for Mule Day!!When you're finished touring the plantation, be sure to go to The Pig & Bull Grill and get the Killa!! Tell Eric & DJ that I sent you lolBoth of these places were an amazing find and looking forward to going back soon!!I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!

Went to Mule Day - Southern Heritage Festival. Had a blast. Also took in the history of the plantation. Walked the grounds and toured the house. It was very interesting and had so much original furniture and decor still in there. I definitely will be reading more on it tonight to be able to appreciate what we saw.

Unfortunately the times were not updated on the website and we drove an hour on Wednesday to find a closed site. The two persons working there said it would be ok to walk around. There is a variety of buildings and a beautiful herb garden around the main plantation house. You can view the great wood joinery on the log home. Nice placards describing the buildings. Facility hosts many activities throughout the year. Parking seems to be abundant... especially when it’s closed.
Simon R — Google review
Very well maintained, and host was lovely - but really doesn’t do justice to the actual history of who ‘worked’ on this plantation. I had hoped that ALL of the history of this place was preserved but that was sadly not the case.

8-8-24 Wednesday 7:30 ish PM.I drove past there on my way to deliver a load at the Publix warehouse in Dacula, GA., and I saw a kinda tall man dressed in dark, early 1800's clothing looking towards the road. He didn't wave back, but oh, well. Since they have tour guides dressed in old clothing showing off the place, I'll try to come back for a tour! Let your employees know that it's okay to wave back. 😁Reply: He didn't even tip his wide-brimmed hat... It could've been a trespasser trying to mess with people to show on social media. If you have cameras their you can check to see who it was snooping around there. I MIGHT come back as long as it's a real person...😳 Thanks

Watson Mill Bridge State Park
State park
Nature & Parks
Riverside campground featuring a 229-ft. wooden covered bridge, the longest in Georgia.
This state park exceeded my expectations, very beautiful, lots of fun trails and things to explore. My family and I had an excellent day getting rejuvenated in the purity of nature. That's the longest covered bridge I've ever been on. Don't forget to roll your windows down while driving over bridge and take it all in! I recommend to everyone bring your family here.

Great park. Scenic with a lot of trails. The old ruins are neat as well. Worth the visit, worth the drive. A word of caution though, the trails are heavy with roots and rocks at times which present a trip hazard or opportunity for possible injury. Which should go without saying being it's in the woods. What would you expect? Definitely placing this one on the regular visit rotation.

We drove over an hour to visit this park and it was well worth the drive! I loved it and it was so fun. I brought my toddler too and he enjoyed it as well. I loved that they have picnic areas near the water where we could eat. The only downside I could see is that the bathroom facilities are lacking. We had to go to the visitor center to use the bathrooms as there wasn't any near the water. Just keep than in mind when visiting.

This park is a true gem. The surroundings, covered bridge, hiking trails, scenery and staff are nothing short of incredible. If you want a perfect getaway to relax, fish, splash around in the falls and learn a little history about an incredible covered bridge… this is your place! Comfort station was very clean and well stocked. It’s so nice to visit a location where the staff, rangers and volunteers take pride in maintaining the park; making sure each guest is accommodated and comfortable. The campsites, cabins and shelters are very clean and easily accessible. So whether you are pulling your 5th wheel or camper, glamping or camping in a tent or renting a cabin… you are going to make great memories.I can’t wait to finish editing all the incredible photos I’ve taken while at this park and publish my Georgia State Park picture book of Watson Mill Bridge State Park for those unable to visit but enjoy seeing the true majestic scenery.Thank you for an adventurous outing. ❤️

Lovely 1000+ acre State Park near Comer, Ga. The covered bridge and falls are a must see, so plan to spend a day enjoying the falls, water and park area. The campground has mostly pull through heavily shaded sites with two bathhouses. The bathhouses are showing their age and subject to out of order. Frankly, the circa 1885 bridge is in better shape than the campground. The hosts are lovely and eager to help. While the camp hosts are doing their best, the state needs to focus attention on roads and campsites. They are tired and need attention.Big rigs and even a 28’ trailer will slip into a rut in the turns in the campground. Be careful. The 50amp power is clean and consistent. The water ran clear with good pressure. The single dump station located in the center of the park is a lesson in patience and maneuvering skill.During our stay we had a tornado watch and the camp host went from site to site alerting each on what to do and where to go. That’s next level attention.Verizon service was better than ATT.Pay attention to how you enter the park as the covered bridge has a 9’ height limit. Enter the park from the west off of Georgia Highway 22. If you come from the East, off Georgia Highway 72 you’ll have to cross the bridge be subjected to the bridge limit. The town of Comer is 4 miles away if you need to stock up on groceries, fuel or enjoy a small but lovely Mexican restaurant or diner.Lovely park and with some attention from the Parks Department, it could be a crown jewel.I regret the 4 stars but it’s just not 5 star right now.Still recommended.

Great place. Very clean grounds. A must see when in the area. Camping, canoeing and hiking. They have a playground for the kids. Restrooms, picnic tables, grills etc. Welcome center has drinks and nabs. And a cool little exhibit of local wildlife. Seen people walking dogs on leash. Probably fishing as well. 5 dollar parking pass required. Wouldn't recommend for large group of bikers. Small parking areas.

Beautiful park! My son and I visited Watson Mill Bridge State Park in December 2023. We walked a few trails, which took a few hours. It was about a 30-minute drive from Athens. They have a Visitors Center where you can pick up a map of the park and hiking trails. It also has a cute gift shop. Parking is $5.00 for the day. They do offer yearly parking passes as well.I recommend Watson Mill State Park for something fun and interesting to do on a budget. I can't wait to visit Watson Mill Bridge Park this summer!

The park itself is nice. Beautiful scenery and rich history along with good trails to explore. I would recommend the park. However, a few months after going out there for the first time, we decided to give the campsite a go. THAT is what I was disappointed about. We were hoping for a nice, spaced out, secluded site, and thought that's what we getting according to the map on the GA state park site. But when we got there we realized it's 20 campsites crammed on top of each other in a tiny loop. There's no privacy or seclusion about this place. It was one of the worst campgrounds I've seen and was very disappointing. Needless to say, we pull up and pulled right back out and got a partial refund. We got there right at dark (around 730-8 pm) and it was already so quiet and no one was outside...no one sitting by any campfires, no grilling , no one just hanging out under their RV awning...the whole site was pitch back and so quiet I was afraid to just get out and close the truck door, let alone set up camp, without feeling like i would be disturbing anyone. Like I said, the park itself is nice and would make a great day trip if you're local, but that kind of camping is not what I expect when I go camping!
Kristy B — Google review
Lovely, quiet and beautiful state park with nearly 100% pull through, roomy camp sites. Nice walking and mountain biking trails. Campground shower house was clean...they just need a little maintenance. Ladies side had one inoperative shower and mens side had one inoperative toilet and hand blow dryer. Otherwise, very relaxing time!
Amber J — Google review
I can't believe I waited so long to go there. This park is amazing - the staff, the campground, the scenery, the bridge, the trails - amazing! The tent/RV campground is small, but quiet, shaded, and well maintained. The outer spots on the loop are the best, but they all have some advantages. If you have a horse, part of this park is dedicated to equestrian activities with stables, trails and an equestrian campground. I really love all of the Georgia State parks I have visited, but this one is definitely in my top 5!

Sanford Stadium, the 92,000-seat football stadium located at the University of Georgia and home to their Bulldogs team, is a popular venue for sports enthusiasts. The stadium is well-maintained with clean facilities and restrooms that have attendants on hand. Visitors are advised to rent a stadium chair as the bleacher seating can be cramped during peak attendance times. Only card payments are accepted for purchases made throughout the premises. Exiting from the top parking deck may cause delays due to heavy traffic.
Incredible place! We came from Canada to watch the Bulldogs vs Tigers. Everyone we met was super friendly. Food concessions were good, beverages were decently priced. The people of Georgia are incredibly friendly and passionate about the Bulldogs!

We visited this stadium for a 7v7 tournament on the backside of our college football tour and I have to say it's impressive. The tradition, atmosphere, and energy has to be crazy on a game night bc it definitely felt alive during the time we were there. I have to catch a game here soon.
Dee G — Google review
I checked out a game at Sanford Stadium, and it was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is electric, especially if you're there for a Georgia Bulldogs game. The fans are passionate, and the energy in the stadium is contagious. The stadium itself is impressive. It’s huge, with great views from pretty much any seat. The layout makes it easy to navigate, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained.One of the highlights is the pre-game festivities. Tailgating at Sanford Stadium is a big deal, and it's a lot of fun to join in the excitement before heading into the game. The crowd is friendly, and there's a real sense of community among the fans.Food options inside the stadium are decent. You’ll find all the usual stadium fare, but the quality is good, and there’s enough variety to keep everyone happy. The lines can get long, so it’s a good idea to grab your snacks early.Parking can be a bit of a hassle, especially on game days, so plan to arrive early. Once you’re parked, though, everything is within walking distance, and the walk to the stadium adds to the anticipation.Overall, Sanford Stadium is a fantastic place to catch a football game. The combination of the energetic crowd, the beautiful stadium, and the exciting games makes it a must-visit for any football fan. I can't wait to go back for another game!

Amazing experience! We went to the GA v KY game on October 7, 2023 at 7pm. We had a great time! It was a packed house and got a little chilly later in the night, but a great time was had! This was the first night game I’ve been to, and the 4th quarter light show was AWESOME! A must see!!!

Nature & Parks
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is a vast 313-acre horticultural conservatory that offers free admission to visitors. The garden boasts picturesque walking paths and provides educational programs for both adults and children. While some negative reviews exist, the gardens are well-prepared during winter and offer an excellent opportunity for photography. There's ample parking available, although it might get crowded on weekends. Visitors can donate if they wish to support the establishment, with a small donation box located near the entrance.
I had a great time exploring this botanical garden. I started out exploring the arts museum, which has some unbelievable pieces in it. Then I headed towards the trails and walked some of the white trail along the garden. Finally, when I thought I was just about done, I saw the international garden. It's amazing taking the stroll around that area, which leads to the front of the garden and plenty more to see once you're there.

As wedding photographers, we had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a newlywed session in this stunning garden for free. I instantly fell in love with the place. Although we didn’t have time to explore the entire garden, the sections we captured were truly beautiful and meticulously maintained. I was amazed by the diverse array of plants, which created a lovely backdrop for our clients' pictures. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more frequently, but I will certainly return with my camera to capture even more breathtaking photos.- Reykphoto

Absolutely beautiful! From all the flowers and tropical plants to the butterflies everywhere you look! The wildlife and shaded paths to more beauty! This is a must visit place if you are in Athens, Georgia! The indoor facility is cool and naturally oxygenated by all the vegetation. There is a vegetable garden. Children will love the playground and climbing ropes! You could easily spend the day just enjoying nature here! There is also an art museum and chapel.

Wonderful botanical garden and it's free! Excellent rangers too. Cute shop. We enjoyed the children's garden (not just for kids)! Unfortunately it got too hot to explore the rest. Don't skip the porcelain museum either! More interesting than it sounds!

A beautiful display in a gorgeous setting! Our family highly recommends you visit the Botanical Gardens light display. Reserve your tickets ahead.

This place is gorgeous, but definitely not at its best right now. Many areas are overgrown, unkempt, or mislabeled, and most of the plants were wilted or dry-which could very likely be a direct result of the inclement weather but I have little comparison. The visitors center was great-very nice, informative, and knowledgeable staff. Although I didn't experience all of what they offered I did see all they had to offer and will definitely be back. Tons of cool things to see, do, and learn here for all ages-and FREE?!? Can't ask for more than that. 😁🌱🌿🏵🌸

Outstanding night with the family! Beautiful leisurely walk on a perfect night for late December. UGA team that put this event together did a great job. Excellent flow for both kids and adults. Concessions and restrooms throughout. It was a magical night for everyone. Thanks to everyone associated with the event.

I really enjoyed the gardens. Granted, I ran through some because I was chasing my 4 year old. It's "Children's Garden" doesn't have much for young kids to do. Adults definitely will enjoy it far more. I would estimate I could spend a good 4-6 hours here on my own. The pottery display was very impressive, and the animal statue displays were eye-catching. The fact that it's free and parking was easy just makes it all the more enjoyable. GREAT date location! We saw multiple weddings wrapping up, and photo ops seem plentiful.

This is an absolute gem of a location. My husband and I discovered it on an anniversary trip, but I know our children would love it as well. Visitors of all ages and a variety of nations strolled the lovely grounds. We arrived after the Spring bounty, and still found it well-blooming. There is no off-season here. In the main building, you can find an art gallery, gift shop, and tropical gardens resplendent with orchids and tropical fruit trees. I didn't get photos of the playground, but it is full of great climbing stations and a slide. I also saw children using watering cans to water a vegetable and herb garden area designated for children's discovery. My kids are 13, 11, and 7, and I know they would thrive in this lap of nature. Well done, Georgia.

I’ve been visiting the Botanical Garden for over a decade which is crazy to say! It is one of my favorite places in Athens. There is a giant magical playground that’s worth enjoying for all ages. I highly recommend walking around the Asian garden and meditating on their wooden meditation area. It’s so nice. A stunning venue for wedding photos, family photos, etc.

Super pretty place to go walk and enjoy anytime of day, many places to sit and many trails. GOOD PARKING area and FREE entrance. Also for my fellow photographers: taking photographs is allowed BUT big umbrellas are not allowed, also don’t block any walking area! 💕🌷🪷They also had a really cool art center by the entrance and I really recommend going in, many types of artworks!

We purchased tickets in advance for the 9pm time. Definitely worth buying the vip parking so you don’t have to ride the shuttle bus.It was a great experience, beautiful lights, music, staff were awesome and friendly! It took us about 55 minutes to walk through. There were hot cocoa and s’mores stations set up if you wanted to purchase them. I couldn’t get over the amount of lights! We will definitely make this a yearly tradition!!

This is such a beautiful and peaceful place to walk around and enjoy the nature, or just sit at the bench and relax.I was very impressed by the ingenuity of the playground. My granddaughter had so much fun climbing the interior of the hut, or laying on the suspended net.The wooden sculptures are pretty and add such a charm. We were at the wedding and the reception was in the glass house. The beauty of the trees, foliage, and a creek indoors made this venue very elegant. There is a brick oven for pizza on one of the patios, and my favorite, a black granite Earth sculpture floating on water! If you find yourself in this corner of Georgia, don't skip on visiting these gardens.

Our Master Gardener group went to visit last week. Beautiful place to visit and so much to see. We brought our lunch (they don't have a restaurant on the permises) and had a relaxing time eating our food on the terrace outside of the Welcome center. Enjoyed our tour!

Great place to explore, has miles of trails and many variety of plants. Just watch out for the spiders! Also has a lighting event I would have liked to check out.

We went for the Winter Wonderlights. The lights were bright and festive. However, the prices were a bit high for the hot chocolate, smores kits, and swag. The workers were all friendly and helpful. One of the volunteers even took our picture with our phone at one of the locations under the lights.

I came here to check out the Porcelain museum and the Gardens, and I couldn't see it all in one day. They had everything set up for Winter Wonderlights (buy tickets for this in advance), and I wish they weren't sold out when I visited, but you can still see the light sculptures and all the holiday lights on the trees. Even during the afternoon it was lovely. A lot had died back for the season in mid-December, but this place was impressive nonetheless. I need to come back to see the rose garden in bloom, too.

We are so lucky to have this amazing, free garden in Athens. I personally prefer it to Atlanta's. My favorite time of year there is early spring (March-ish) when all the tulips and some lingering daffodils are in bloom... but it's stunning year-round. Other wonderful parts: Krysia Ara's beautiful mosaic work in the Children's garden, the extensive hiking trails (just do a tick check in the summer), the orchids, Insectival, and the holiday lights (I'm not usually one for Christmas but seeing those giant snowflakes and birds glittering in the trees is magical)!

Another excuse to be outside. Find a free spot designed with natural beauty. It is serene. It feels comforting to walk softly, just to hear all the birds chirping or frogs grunting. The fun is in looking at the different vegetation and reading what the plants are actually called. If you go at dusk, you will get a beautiful illumination of the sky with a nice range in color!

Bear Hollow Wildlife Trail is a 225-acre park featuring woodlands, wetlands, and a historic cabin. The visitors' center offers interactive exhibits for the public to enjoy. Currently undergoing renovations, the park has new fences that look much better than the old ones. However, some of the gates were locked which caused concern among visitors. The animal sanctuaries are in poor condition and resemble Yellow River Game Ranch during its decline.
This zoo is great. It is small as some reviewers say but they should keep in mind it is a free zoo for rehabbed animals. We saw owls, bears, turkeys, river otters, a bald eagle, a gator and more. My 7 year old didn’t want to leave. We all had a great time and will be back.

Will laid out Sanctuary for non-returnable to the wild animals nice winding paved trail leading passed many different habitats including black bear river otter bald eagle and whitetail deer Plus two species of owl and wild turkey unfortunately some of the habitats were unoccupied ,several of the reptiles were not visible due to the cool temperature. a great place for an outing with the family, especially if you have young children. The staff were very friendly and informative donations are accepted I did not see any entrance fee listed

It's more like a wildlife preserve than a zoo, but it is still really nice! It's well kept. They seem to be doing some renovations, but that's always a good sign. The animals were mostly napping when we went, but the few that weren't were amazing to see and observe. They also give facts about the species, and they tell you exactly what you're looking at. The bald eagle was my absolute favorite. They even had turkeys, which was nice to see just to see not for sport. My daughter liked it too. She's loves animals. Best part is it is free!

Absolutely Great! It's free for one! There are so many family friendly adventures from a beautiful pond filled with so many turtles, fish, at times geese and ducks/drakes. You can purchase feed for just .25¢. The pond itself is very beautiful to walk around and just enjoy nature. Then the children's playground, as well as the zoo. The zoo is small but has a few exquisite exhibits.

We love coming here and seeing the bears, alligator, otters, and other animals. The zoo has just reopened after being shut down from covid 19 for a few months. They have re-routed part of the path so it is one way to cut down on guests getting close to each other. It is a nice little free zoo!
Karen P — Google review
It's a little bit more rundown than it was when we visited in 2019. They are in the middle of some renovations that look very nice. The new fences look much better than the old ones. I don't know why some of the gates were locked. It was a little troubling. The biggest detractor right now is the condition of the animal sanctuaries. Kind of reminds me how yellow River game ranch was in their decline. Have to keep in mind that this is a free to the public zoo. If you go to their website there are options to help to support them if we don't want to see something like this disappear.

Fort Yargo State Park

Nature & Parks
Historic fort in a state park with campsites, yurts, trails & a beach on a 260-acre lake.
Wonderful natural State Park. We volunteered during the "State Park day" and did cleaning for a playground area. This park is very picturesque and features a beach. Like all state parks there's a $5 parking fee and it's well worth it. The visitor Center looks brand new in modern featuring a gift shop. The best thing about this park is the people including park ranger Aiden. He planned our event successfully and was very helpful in coordinating the resources. There is everything you would want featured at this park.

Great location to hike. Beautiful trails winding around the lake- mostly flat. $5 entrance fee to park if you go in through the main entrance. Well maintained facilities and nice playgrounds, camping and picnic areas. Watch out for the bugs though- lots of mosquitos even in the middle of the day and of course so many spiders.

Such a beautiful park! Plenty of trails to hike and jog. Tons of accessible shoreline for fishing and paddling (kayak, canoe, SUP, etc). We love the trails and the lake and views are gorgeous. Camp grounds are fantastic. The only downside right now 2 playgrounds on the non camping side and currently the only one usable doesn't have swings or much for kids to play on. But, we still LOVE it and is our #1 choice for a quick escape.

Beautiful park with serene campgrounds. We camped there wit h a 42 foot 5th wheel. Pull through site 28 is very spacious. Some trimming needed because branches scrape the camper.

We have only ever come to this park to hike around the lake which is 6-7 miles of mostly shaded and relatively flat trail. There are sections that have a little bit of elevation but mostly an easy hike. The scenery is beautiful! You have a view of the lake for most of the way including a few bridge crossings and the dam. My favorite section makes me feel like a hobbit as you go through a canopied wooded area with areas of wildflowers surrounding. You do have to pay a daily fee to enter. There are bathrooms at the welcome center as well as a gift shop. They are currently doing work to the beach area and much construction was recently completed to add new cabins. I definitely want to return soon to bike the more extensive trails and kayak on the lake!Worth a trip to the small, rural town of Winder. Stop in town and get ice cream after your hike!

The park has everything you need from just admiring the 269 acre lake and the lush surrounding, bike trails that will test your skill, water activities, boating, hiking trails of different levels of difficulties, fishing, camping ground, RV park, yurts, to fishing. The visitors center has assortment of souvenirs to remember your visit or to help support the park. There is a replica of the old fort house across the lake from visitors center. Reenactors gather on 2nd Saturday of the month. The roads are well maintained which is a big plus.We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem so close to our home in Hoschton GA. For all my mutual camp-goers out there, Fort Yargo is a nice pick. It has all the amenities someone is looking in an ideal camping experience (accessible bathroom, medium sized camping spots, lake for kayaking and swimming). You do have to schedule way ahead of time and put down $10 for a spot of your choosing. Be prepared to bring everything ahead of time and grab what you need- it can be at least 20 minutes from everything found locally.I didn't experience any rough hiking trails or come across wild animals, and felt the experience was mostly isolated. A few people here and there but a good amount of privacy.

A very nice state park. Probably the best that the wife and I have been to over the last 6 weeks. We have decided to go to one state park a week until we visit all of the state parks in Georgia. This park has it all. A beach RV camping, primitive camping cabins to rent and it even has a yurt if you want to rent a yurt as well. Several pavilions dozens of picnic tables and a large concession area with a very large covered pavilion next to the concession area. This park looks like it has a lot of visitors in the summertime. There are canoes available as well as paddle boats. The swimming activities are no lifeguard at this time and the boats that can be used are closed for the season. There are also plenty of trails and such for those that like to do that. This is a dog friendly park. The visitor center is very nice in the staff are very pleasant to work with.

This park is a hidden gem in Georgia that offers a great escape into nature, perfect for a day trip or a weekend getaway. Great for outdoor enthusiasts and families. Highly recommended for those looking to escape into nature without venturing too far from the city. Is located near Winder, Georgia, and just about an hour from Atlanta. The visitor center is helpful, with friendly staff and a small gift shop. Parking is ample, and fees are reasonable. The park is beautiful, with serene lake views, lush forests, and well-maintained trails. It's a perfect spot for photography and relaxation. If you want hiking, biking, walking, running, the park features well-marked trails for everything. The trails vary in difficulty, making them suitable for beginners and more experienced adventurers alike.I think kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing are permitted. The lake is calm.Camping is available. There are plenty of picnic areas with tables and grills, making it a great spot for family gatherings. There's also a disc golf course and a large playground for children.

I have camped here by myself, with my wife and with two dogs as many as 30 times over the last 30 years. We have always enjoyed our stay here. We have camped in both campgrounds and in the primitive camping areas as well. We have seen many improvements over those years. The primitive area has moved and been replaced with yurts. The rest rooms have been rebuilt. The lake has been improved and new fishing docks have been added. The hosts have always been friendly and helpful when needed. And of course there is now the new welcome center. Shopping and restaurants are nearby when needed. Our favorite campsite is number 32 due to its privacy but has a longer walk to the bathrooms. We have fished there, rented a Jon boat and ridden on the lake in a folding boat with motor. There are always events scheduled throughout the year and a lot of history surrounding the fort.I recommend this state park and suggest getting a friends of the park pass as it is a great value especially if you are a senior or active military or veteran.

Don't go here. They won't even honor your prepaid reservation and give you the correct room. Then they will tell you it's first come first serve as the reason why you're not getting the room you have had reserved and paid in full for quite some time beforehand (and you're on time). Currently my fiance is there for a very quiet Bachelorette celebration with 2 friends, a once in a lifetime event and they are refusing to work with her to resolve the issue or respond to calls or messages from me, including the general manager. This is all while charging unreasonable (seriously) prices for every single service they offer, keep in mind. It's always been a bit of a ripoff here financially, but at least the service used to be nice and they honored reservations or attempted to make things right if they messed something up.

This is a beautiful property with an amazing staff. I would give it a solid 5 stars if it weren't for two significant issues. 1) I was on the top floor, but my view out of my window was obscured by green algae. The exterior of my windows were absolutely covered in the stuff. It ruined my view. I notified the front desk, but nothing was done the 3 nights I was there. 2) Food and beverage is WAY overpriced. Guests are basically captives to the resort. There are no options other than what Chateau Elan offers, so they gouge you on price, and the quality is not good at all. They serve basic, average dishes at exorbitant prices. Also, they are tremendously understaffed. A wait at a half full bar easily eclipsed 10 minutes. The one nice dinner we had in an almost empty dining hall was a disaster. We repeatedly had to get up and look for our server. This started the moment we were seated by the hostess, and continued until we had to get up and find our server to request our check. It was surreal. Housekeeping was a strong point. They were very friendly and did an excellent job, but I could not believe how much algae there was on my windows and how terrible the F&B situation is there.

We loved this place! So beautiful and great service. We also loved the wine and the winery. The only thing I wasn't happy with was no soap in the shower. It had pumps and the pumps were empty and so I had to jump out of the shower and grab a bar of soap WHILE showering. And this place is really expensive. So you would think for that kind of money, they would make sure that you have SOAP! But just a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things.

It is also helpful to a content team when everything takes place within one location which is another reason why we love working at this venue. The staff are wonderful on event days, super helpful and incredibly kind. We highly recommend Chateau Elan for your wedding and event needs!Rêver Weddings

My first experience at a winery. I can't say I have too much experience for comparison but we had a lovely time.Things you should know:I. PARKINGThere's various, free parking lots out front of the resort.II. SERVICEWhen it came to checking in for our tour reservation, the location was unclear. Yes, the tour will start on time. With or without you. We enjoyed the tour experience. Our guide gave us a history of the founders, the grape vines, the wine, and the process. He showed us 5 different types of drinks and we did a tasting with about 2-2.5oz in each glass. For someone who doesn't know too much about wine or the "proper" way of drinking it, I found this tour helpful.III. QUALITYI can't say too much about this matter considering I don't have a palate, but everyone in my party enjoyed their drinks!IV. CAPACITYFairly lively during the weekend.

We stayed at the Inn three weeks ago. On arrival, I noticed a few things that were unsettling. I was not pleased with the cleanliness of the room 329. There were long strands of black hair in the shower and on the floor of the bathroom. There was some type of dark liquid on one of the chairs in the room. The wine tasting was the most pleasant part of our stay. Outwardly, the resort and landscaping is immaculate. More effort should be placed on the cleanliness and appearance of the interior of the resort.

Extremely overpriced. We are wine lovers and enjoy spending money on the finer things in life. From the start, I could tell they were understaffed, took a while for valet, and room check-in. Our room was unclean (last visitors garbage in cans, fridge not refilled, and glassware unclean). The restaurants were satisfactory but overpriced, and everything came from the same kitchen, so it was similar food fare.Beyond it being overpriced. I was surprised that no one knew what the wines were. You could only buy their wine, and no one could describe it. Explain origin or story, and they all tasted extremely similar. We did a wine tasting, and someone dropped off our wines with a label like we bought a flight somewhere, and for 150 bucks for 4 small 1.5oz (x2) pour, I expected more.To finish off the stay, we were awoken with a fire alarm that drove us out early.I wouldn't recommend this for a stay, but it is worth a tasting if you like wine. And Marc the steak restaraunt was delicious.

To begin this review, I did read previous Google reviews on Chateau Elan and was initially worried about my experience. However, I can say that this resort is definitely a 10/10! The lobby was clean and smelled good. The lady at the front desk was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed on the ground floor. Everything was clean in the room and it was nicely decorated. Very spacious. Hotel was busy but didn't feel crowded. We are at the Versailles restaurant downstairs and that was phenomenal. Rooms are noise proof. Didn't hear any neighbors nextdoor or above. Would I recommend? Absolutely! Will I be back? Absolutely!

I've been to chateau elan with friends before, but this time I took my parents to celebrate their anniversary. This place is as beautiful as I remembered, if not more. We had some wine and walked around the grounds. The staff was helpful and answered any questions that we had. One day, I'd like to return to do a mini staycation.

My experience at Chateau Elan was very mixed. There is no debating that the property and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. But there were numerous small details that you would expect at a luxury accommodation that fell just a little short. The most disappointing thing was the billing process and the credit card transaction service fee that they charge. Being someone who is a small business owner and has traveled extensively, neither myself nor any of my friends or colleagues have ever heard of a property charging you a credit card transaction service charge for using a credit card and giving your business to that property.BEWARE: in the small print and hidden somewhere in the website it does state that they charge you for using a credit card at their property, but the majority of us don't read the small details. Here is my problem: Upon checking in at the hotel I was never directly told there was an additional fee for using a credit card. When I checked out at the hotel I extensively reviewed my statement of charges and the credit card transaction fee was not on there. When I checked my credit card statement online days later the amount charged increased almost $75 for this fee that they charged just because I put my expenses on a credit card. This was not communicated to me when I checked in, it was not communicated with me when I checked out and it was not on my final statement upon leaving the resort. It secretly appeared on my last bill and it felt incredibly sneaky and deceptive. This on top of the fact that there were four other charges on my portfolio that all were Incorrect and were refunded. If I did not check they would have gone through. After speaking with management they refused to reimburse the credit card service charge fee. It's incredibly disappointing because I will never travel to this establishment again and I strongly advise my colleagues clientele friends and family to do the same.

The greeter was very kind and helpful with our bags and helped get us to our rooms. He was knowledgeable and very attentive. The property is beautiful but for the amount of money you spend I expected the rooms to be nicer and I was disappointed that they don't clean the rooms daily, only on request. Beds were not very comfortable and the room had several damaged areas. The Versailles food was good but they had trouble keeping up with our large group and often had to wait long times to be seated for a buffet. Even at non peak times the staff was very slow and inefficient.Conference meals were excellent! Wonderful desserts.I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the conference room bathrooms and the winery. They smell and are dirty. The wine is good and the outside atmosphere is very nice.Patty's Pub has good food and friendly staff.Louie's Bourbon bar was neat, and had lots of options but one of the bartenders was not very friendly. She seemed annoyed while taking our order but the other staff was great! Music and atmosphere was fun!I wish the winery would go back to wine tastings served at the tables. You have to stand in a huge line each time you want a new glass. Used to be more efficient and a more personalized special experience. It is better during the weekend and early mornings but still.Overall we enjoyed our stay but had higher expectations for the cost and feel they need to find better ways to accommodate conferences.

I am extremely disappointed in my stay here. From the less than average food to the dirty carpets, it’s amazing this place has a high review. For the prices of the rooms, I would not like an adjoining room where I can hear someone throwing up next door. If I wanted to stay at a Hilton inn I would have, these rooms are not luxury at the price point charged. The only redeeming quality of this location is the spa and golf club food. 10/10 will not stay again.

Came up for our anniversary for an overnight stay. The winery was so nice! Highly recommend the flight tasting (try the house wines!) and charcuterie. Sophia, the sommelier, knew her stuff! The rooms at the spa were so peaceful, roomy, and relaxing. Joe gave us great customer service at the spa! The bar and wait staff at the pool were excellent & serving up tasty cocktails! Really enjoyed our stay.

The accommodations fell short of our expectations in terms of luxury and top-tier service. The check-in process was unremarkable, resembling that of a standard hotel rather than a high-end establishment. Despite the availability of champagne, we had to request a glass from the clerk. Regrettably, we were not provided with any instructions or a site map upon arrival. Promised entertainment such as a DJ and live music did not materialize on Friday night. The quality of the food was average at best, although the wine tasting and tour were enjoyable, despite encountering a snake. While the room was satisfactory, it was undeniably overpriced. On the second day, the hallways had a noticeable odor, likely due to the resort's dog-friendly policy. Given the price we paid, this was disappointing. We had to specifically request housekeeping services, as they were not automatically provided on a daily basis. Housekeeping only changed towels and emptied the trash, neglecting to make the bed or perform other services. A luxury resort should include daily housekeeping as a standard service. In conclusion, while the wine tasting experience was pleasant, the overall quality of the resort did not align with its luxury branding. At best this is maybe a good day trip.

Had a really nice getaway with my girls at Chateau Elan. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The facilities are beautiful, clean and the wine/ food was good. All of the staff were really nice. I would have given 5 stars but it was hard to get anyone on the phone when i needed help. The facilities including the spa and restaurants are very understaffed. It also took us over 20 minutes to check out. The staff was nice but didn't know how to process a simple lunch voucher and split our invoice in half. Please train your staff and make sure adequate staff are available to help customers. Guests pay too much for no service and a long checkout process.

Absolutely love my stay here. We stayed at Hampton on the property and enjoyed Paddy’s Pub as our go to spot for occasional lunch and dinner. The waiters were outstanding setting the standard for our experience here. We did the wine tasting & tour with our fantastic guide Michael. The entire experience was lovely even our scheduled wine flight as well as our dinner reservation at Marc’s.

My Chateau Elan experience was superb! I was thoroughly impressed by the views, architecture, food, sport offerings, and wine tastings. The pasta that I had was the best I've had in a minute. The only recommendation that I have is for them to improve their customer service phone lines. It was hard to get in touch with them. They were always polite and accommodating when we did speak to them, though. I can't wait to go back.
Brittany S — Google review
Staying at Chateau Elan was the worst experience, they should remove any branding with “luxury” immediately. Once you get beyond checking in, nothing is luxury after that. The rooms are old and run down, our room was filthy (bodily fluids on the sheets, a dirty bathroom, pills on the floor, food crumbs, etc) and there is no noise control. At all times of the night you hear music coming from the events being hosted on the property, etc.In addition, room service was extremely slow and the items in the room did not work (iron, blow dryer, etc)I attempted to contact the manager multiple times to discuss my stay and was told they needed to take a message and they would get back to me each time. I’ve now called 7 times with still no returned call. I most definitely will not be returning and would not recommend staying on the property.

Recently took my husband here for his birthday and we were pleasantly surprised, just a short drive from Atlanta. The property is beautifully maintained, there were a lot of food options some better than others. Highly recommend The Versailles for breakfast buffet only offered on weekends. We loved the burgers and food at Paddy’s Pub. Marc’s steakhouse was overpriced and underwhelming but the food and drinks at the pool bar we’re totally worth it. The food at the bar was fresh and tasty- we got the Poke Bowl and burger. We did a wine pairing at the tasting bar and that was also very good. Our stay was short and we didn’t get to golf or check out the spa but we will definitely come back.

We like to sit outside at the winery and enjoy the scenery and ambiance. We purchase red, white, and sparkling bottles of wine, relax, and sip the afternoon away. We do this three or four times a year.We enjoy dining at Patty's Pub (the best bread pudding w/signature sauce ever) and the Sunday Brunch buffet in the main dining room. Also, we have attended the St. Patrick's Day celebrations for several years.

The Mall of Georgia is a landmark shopping destination with impressive architecture and over 200 stores spread across three levels. It also includes a cinema, kids' play area, and a unique outdoor shopping village resembling a traditional Georgian town center. This expansive indoor shopping center offers an array of high-end retail stores, diverse dining options, and entertainment areas. Additionally, the mall features a 500-seat amphitheater for events and performances.
We had a great time shopping and hanging out with the kids. Of few of our favorites in the mall were Billy Beez, kids play area & train ride, Barnes & noble(outside portion). They are already setting up for Christmas pictures with Santa. The area looks cute and I believe is priced at about $35.

So many different places to visit and I love all the little booths throughout the mall, you can always find such cool things are good things to eat!! I have been there recently to get my ring fixed at Helzberg Diamonds, and we went close shopping for a wedding I'll be attending in August! Plus I have to go to Bath and Body Works even if I don't get anything I love that place!! 😁

Awesome experience😁 Fun! Staffed! Food court full of people, just like back in the day.An actual real mall without stores closing or short staff. A kid fashion show, all of them did their best modeling clothes.I would go again. The perfume store all bottles of anything seem to sell at $105.00, which is good depending on the brand.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Mall of Georgia, and all I can say is that it was truly an amazing shopping experience! From the moment I stepped foot inside the mall, I was impressed by the wide variety of stores and the vibrant atmosphere. One of the things that stood out to me was the excellent customer service provided by the staff at the various stores. Whether I was browsing for clothes, accessories, or electronics, the employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with any questions or concerns. Their helpfulness and professionalism added to the overall enjoyment of my shopping trip. The layout of the mall was also well-designed, making it easy to navigate between stores and find exactly what I was looking for. The cleanliness and organization of the mall added to the pleasant shopping environment, making my experience even more enjoyable.Additionally, the Mall of Georgia offers a great selection of dining options, ranging from fast food to sit-down restaurants, providing a perfect opportunity to refuel and relax after a long day of shopping.Overall, my experience at the Mall of Georgia was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of diverse stores, outstanding customer service, and comfortable ambiance made it a shopping trip to remember

It's been awhile since I've been here and it's a pretty nice mall but getting really dated from all appearances, needs remodeling. I prefer Discover Mills mall or what's now called Sugarloaf (same county, different city ) that's always been my favorite BIG mall for shopping and their big game room (overall layout and stores too) and they are also getting a little dated but not near as bad as mall of GA. I hope it improves. 🙏 I remember when this store was first built, my home mall with a lot of good memories.

This is a mid range storeItems here are in assorted sizes at every store. They have varies departments to choose items from. If you don't mind seeing someone wearing the same outfit, this is the place. They have pretty good sales, but note some are better than others. If they have sale associates, they are only at the checkout. Goodbye to personal assistant to help you find anything.

I recently visited the Mall of Georgia and was extremely impressed. The mall was very clean and spacious, and had a great selection of stores and restaurants. Parking was a breeze, with plenty of parking close to the front entrance. Navigation within the mall was easy, thanks to the signs pointing to the largest stores. All in all, it's a great mall and I would highly recommend it!

The Mall of Georgia, once heralded as a premier shopping destination, has experienced a noticeable decline over the years. Having witnessed its evolution since it first opened, it’s disheartening to see the current state of disrepair and the pervasive sense of decline that has set in.From its inception, the mall never achieved full occupancy, a trend that has only worsened over time. I’ve seen numerous businesses come and go, leaving behind a trail of empty storefronts and a lingering atmosphere of abandonment. The turnover rate of stores has been alarmingly high, making it difficult for the mall to maintain a consistent and vibrant shopping environment. One of the most striking signs of the mall’s decline is the visible disrepair. The decaying furniture in areas once bustling with activity, such as the seating areas of closed down restaurants, is a stark reminder of better days. Boarded up store fronts are now a common sight, contributing to an overall sense of neglect and desolation.Despite its size and the initial promise of being a shopping hub, the Mall of Georgia struggles with maintaining its allure. The lack of tenants and the evident neglect have significantly impacted the shopping experience. What was once a lively and inviting space has become a shadow of its former self. It’s a sad reality to see such a prominent mall in this condition. For long-time patrons like myself, the decline of the Mall of Georgia is a poignant reminder of the challenges faced by brick-and-mortar retail in an ever-changing economic landscape. One can only hope that steps will be taken to revive this once-thriving establishment and restore some of its former glory.

Everything is extremely high priced. The the food court itself we'll break your wallet. One small drink and the food court is $3.17 plus tax. Gyro meal for two bought by my grandson, was $37.Some of the electronic directories do not work. The electronic directory is also don't work that well by keyword. It offers a good variety of stores however.Yankee candle has fantastic deals as does bath & body works. There's elevators if you use a wheelchair and accessibility. There's a nice movie theater inside and again everything is high-priced.There is a limited disability parking lots of paid parking like a parking meter. And they will tow your vehicle if you do not get out there in time to refill your meter.I watch two people get towed for that. It's extremely overcrowded in the afternoon. I would suggest going in the morning. The bathrooms were as clean as they should be.

Aurora Theatre, located in historic downtown Lawrenceville, is a former church turned into a vibrant cultural center. With over 700 events annually, it offers a diverse range of entertainment including professional plays, Broadway productions, musicals, stand-up comedy, concerts, and children's programs. The theater has garnered praise for its top-tier performances and innovative contemporary theatre.

Having lived in Lawrenceville for over 30 years, my wife and I consider Aurora to be our place for most entertainment. Of course, plays and musicals get top billing, but we also attend other musical events such as the Men of Motown and the Eagles tribute band. Unlike all of your big cities, this quaint city has always made us feel safe when visiting at night and will not buckle in to charging for parking. We love Lawrenceville…We love Aurora Theatre.

Stunning theater in the heart of Lawrenceville. It’s big and beautiful, with a cute interior and a small concessions stand. We attended the Valentine's Day jazz concert. The vocals and musicianship were wonderful! So much talent created a very nice event.Suggestions for the Aurora theater to consider:1. Repetitively highlighted in other Google reviews: 26%, including fees and taxes, added to out ticket price will be a disincentive to attend future Aurora events. Eliminate or reduce fees.2. The usher was untrained, unfamiliar, and generally unhelpful finding our box seats. The seats were unnumbered, and the boxes likewise unidentified, so there was no way to know for certain where our seats were located. Fortunately, the event was lightly attended. However, all seats should be identified and ushers should know where seats are. That is their job, right?3. Establish a minimum age for children to attend evening, couples-focused events. A squalling child did not add to the atmosphere.4. Prior to the beginning of performances, remind everyone to turn off and not use phones and flash photography. Unfortunately, a clear reminder appeared to be necessary many times.

We had season tickets to the Broadway Series at the Fox for several years but as we've aged and grayed, going downtown Atlanta has lost its appeal. For years I've heard how good the Aurora Theatre is and our neighbors convinced us to go with them to "Christmas Canteen." From that performance we bought tickets for the final 3 plays of the 2023-24 season and after the fantastic performance of "Knead," we happily purchased the 5 play season package for 2024-25. (Go see "Knead" now. It's delicious!)Parking is easy and free. The theater is accessible to any and all. Best of all, the plays are unique and very professional. The cost is great and they have early-bird specials b4 the plays are announced. With Fox Theater parking at $50 now, the Aurora Theatre with close proximity to free, covered parking is excellent entertainment at a no-brainer price

My kids have been taking swimming lessons here for the past 3 years. Each summer it has gotten worse. This current session will be the last.Swimming lessons at the facility are very disorganized. Management is always looking for teachers to teach/ substitute classes. For one session(8 classes), they had 5 different teachers. How are they supposed to be evaluated/taught properly if they don’t have a consistent instructor? Most of the instructors are not there to teach, but only watch the kids. They don’t utilize the time to teach the students the correct technique.Unfortunately, I’m not the only one who has had the same experience in the reviews.

There are passes for the summer season which will save you even more money. In front is a fun area for the little ones that slowly gets deeper for the not so little. There’s a big slide at the back for those who meet the height requirement. This swim place has a variety of things to enjoy! There are small slides for kids, an assortment of water jets and fountains to cool off, a lazy river current that allows for drifting around the route, various places to swim in the pool, and an enormous water slide! The pool area has lots of seating, some shaded by huge umbrellas and some in the open. There are a couple of pavilions for larger groups too. The swim lessons are horrendous because the teenage instructors are too busy flirting with other instructors, not paying attention to the children trying to learn to swim. This is dangerous and a disaster waiting to happen.
Kristen H — Google review
My kid started a swimming lesson from here from the beginning and I don't want to recommend this school. They're all high school instructors and are not really pay attention to theri teaching class. Instead, they talk to next class instructor friend, life guard friends, and so on. It was always like that from level 1-6. I was not happy with that. Go and find somewhere else. VERY DISAPPOINTED

My son had a great time with the coach Jeffrey he is hands-down one of the best instructors inside the whole aquatic center! We love this place for fun summer days and lessons.

Never a day adults can relax here too many kids all the time. Crowed everyday. Not enjoyable.
April J — Google review
If you want you child to really learn swimming, thn this is not the place. They over overcrowd a 30 mins class/session where it takes max 3 turns for a kid to do something, and trainers are mostly talking and having fun with each other. Everytime a trainer changes and they just get 30 mins passed somehow.
Rahul K — Google review
Love their swimming program and facilities compared to many others like swim Atlanta. Most coaches are awesome. We had one bad experience with a coach where the coach instead of encouraging kids, kind of threatened the kids when they fell short of the expectations. Other than that, we love this place. Good to see that even competitive swimming also is conducted here now.. You have two options to choose between competitive swimming services providersI only wish their online portal is more user friendly..

Used to be quiet and chill place to swim. Now it’s overbooked for classes can’t even have a lane to swim. Bad customer service too.

Swiss-style gondola cable car offering scenic rides to the peak of Stone Mountain.
Quick and nice ride to the top of the mountain, for people who dont like hiking to the top. Amazing view, and you can get off and walk around the top for a while before riding back down.
Regine — Google review
I was there in the Sunday's morning when would be a good time to visit. It was less crowded with no time wait for the ropeway. The scenery of the peak of the mountain is incredible and breathtaking. It is so beautiful.

Nice view! This place is a chaos on holidays ! Don’t come with kids on Holidays ! The management it’s son bad and the installations are very small
Andres Q — Google review
I think it is a bit overpriced. The line is very long, the ride up is short with limited view because of the amount of people packed into the sky Ride. I think the price should be no more then $10 rt. You would at least think it should be included in an activity pass, but this is purchased and marketed completely separately. I don't think it's worth it, and once is definitely enoughTips! Purchase your tickets in advance, I think that have you avoid the super long line at the ticket window. I think in all I waited about an hour total. This was about 45 minutes in line to purchase tix and another 15 waiting to get on the skyride. Bring your own snacks or drinks. They do have places to buy snacks at the bottom and at the top of Stone Mountain. Try to go on a day when it is not raining, the rock is very slippery to climb and or maneuver when it is wet. Bathrooms are at the top and the bottom of Stone Mountain as well, if that is helpful to anyone 🙂

This gives you incredible views of Stone Mountain. There is a nice facility at the top where you can catch some more great views, grab a snack or souvenir.

5 stars here 10/19/2024Visited throughout September-October of 2024 during the week and weekend. The Best time to go to enjoy Sunset is on Saturday because the last Skyride goes down at 8:30 pm for now. And they have the Laser Show and fireworks.Rhonda at the Skyride is super friendly, professional, and always will to help. Security officers on top of the mountain are friendly and are present for your assistance.3 stars hereVisited today 8/30/24, didn't get to go up on the skyride because of the weather. I arrived around 5 pm, But by 7 pm it had cleared up but there were no staff members there. The Skyride's last ride down was supposed to be 8:30 pm. Many people came and left, I stayed until 8pm. I was a little disappointed.

The ride is slow and steady up and down. They have an indoor food court and restrooms that are all nice and clean. They also have a store for gifts and shirts at the top. I recommend laying down under a tree and take the beautiful experience in.

This was great. Nice ride up nice view. The only other way up the mountain is by foot.

If you want the best view of Stone Mountain, you must ride Summit Skyride! I visited in a somewhat cloudy day so I couldn’t get a clear view of the city of Atlanta and Buckhead.. You can hike down following the lines if you choose or you can pay to travel round trip on the tram. It was quite an experience to learn more about these beautiful mountains!
Ms. M — Google review
I didn’t ride because I’m afraid of heights but family and friends loved it.
Aasiyah P — Google review
The view from the top of Stone Mountain was wonderful. Fire the teenagers working the gift shop and Summit Skyride; they could care less about their jobs, or what kind of experience their customers have. Also, someone should police the trash on top of the mountain periodically through out the day.
Tracy M — Google review
Walked up the mountain to get the full experience and kind of just wanted to try this out on the way down to get a different look at things… Unfortunately for us though it literally had just taken it’s last ride down before we could get to the door as I was busy taking in all the surroundings. So keep in mind if you want to do both make it up there before they close and just get some more of your pictures and stuff on the way down.. For sure would hike here pretty often if I lived in the area, seems like it would be a great workout if you decided to run the not so dangerous parts of it..

Ride goes 15MPH. It looks intimidating. As someone who is always the person holding everyone's stuff while the family goes on rides, trust me it was not that bad and the views were out of this world.

Ride was smooth and the view great. Our handicapped friend had to stand as the seats were locked in an upright position. One seat was down but occupied by a couple who didn't appear had any disabilities. I know not all disabilities are visible . Accommodation should be made for handicap

It's interesting that the whole thing is made of granite, not a mountain. The panoramic view of Atlanta from the top is also healing in itself.

For someone who's never seen or been on a mountain before (lived in Chicago all my life lol), this was truly an amazing, beautiful experience! The view from the top is great, and the mountain is huge and just peaceful and relaxing to be on top of. Lots of great places to take pictures. The wait was also not too long either if you go early

Stone Mountain Park is a picturesque and expansive area with plenty of activities. Visitors can enjoy golfing, lodging, and a cable car ride to the top of the historic carved peak. The hike up the mountain provides an excellent workout while offering stunning views of the surrounding scenery. A store located at the top provides refreshments and snacks, while an outside area allows visitors to appreciate more beautiful views. Stone Mountain Park is highly recommended for anyone seeking a destination with breathtaking scenery and panoramic vistas.
The mountain was clean, it was a pretty good hike for us. The walk up trail was good, we were lucky to see a white tailed deer on the way up. The mountain is completely granite, it's smooth. A good grip shoe helps to get control while to get up the last part of the trail. There is a small snack bar in the top, good hot chocolate and popcorn served. You can get tram tickets as well..

Great place to spend time with family with lots of activities to do. 4D movie experience was awesome. Tram to top of the Stone Mountain is worth doing. Dinotorium is fun filled place for kids of all ages. Just be aware they will close the park if it thunder bolts within 15 miles of park. Park is huge, it will several trips to visit all the places.

Fun, fun, fun. My family and I have visited this wonderful place twice this year. First time during Halloween. Second time after Thanksgiving. Pleasant atmosphere, a super nice time to spend with your loved ones. There are lots of things to enjoy. The parade, train ride, skyride, and drone show are a plus.

This is a free activity and has a fantastic view from the top.Didn’t take that long to walk and there are hand rails for support on the steepest part and painted yellow markings for guidance on route.Suspect it could be slippery when wet.The cable cars were closed, maybe the wind, I am not sure.

The views in Stone Mountain Park were breathtaking. There are so many trails and areas to visit. I do recommend driving to the different trails because the park is huge and they are all very spaced out. The mountain is very impressive in person! Unfortunately, the majority of the attractions and restaurants were closed, including the train. Kayaks require reservation and we’re fully booked for the duration of our trip. Parking is $20 and $40 for the whole year which is a great deal.

Ascending on a cable car to the summit of the stone mountain, the journey unveils intricate stone carvings that tell stories of the past, adding a cultural touch to the adventure. Reaching the summit, a beautiful view awaits. Be vigilant while walking on the mountain, there’s few steep slopes. Whether engaging in recreational activities or enjoying a leisurely picnic, the majestic surroundings create a perfect backdrop for a fun-filled day. The harmonious blend of nature, art, and entertainment makes this park retreat an ideal destination for those seeking a memorable and diverse experience.

I visited at saturday night time for lunar new year event, and it was incredible. There are lots of well decorated lights to see and many games you can enjoy. Food trucks' foods are great, but all of them were very expensive for the small portion. The drone show blew my mind. It was awesome. Fireworks were okay, but it's short.

How immense is this single stone, and in the soil that rests upon it, trees grow and birds frolic. We call this a mountain, and as we climb it, we humans realize just how small we truly are, and how vast nature is. It leads me to pause and reflect on the greatness of the Creator.

There is so much to do at this beautiful park, you can spend as little or as much as you want depending on your budget and aim of the day. Parking is $20 as a one off or $40 for 12 months. We really enjoyed the dino fest area. We would love to come back in the future

So much to do especially on the weekends with the special programs, would be nice if some were offered during the week as well. The ticket window and it's employees leaves a little to be desired as well as the food to purchase but just bring your own food. And thankfully only have to deal with the ticket window once!

Awesome place to visit! The Stone Mountain itself is unreal, surprised this isn’t on the National Parks and Monuments list honestly. Tons included. Give yourself a full day! Be ready to deal with inconsiderate people playing mini golf and be patient. The laser light shows are a blast as well. Dino Fest can’t be beat!

Stone Mountain, a massive monolith with a Confederate carving, can be accessed by cable car. While some attractions may be closed out of season and the tram to the peak may close due to wind, it is still a recommended destination for all ages. The mountain offers breathtaking views on clear days and visitors can also learn about its history at the museum located on two floors. Climbing up the mountain may take longer depending on physical ability or alternatively, taking the gondola is an option.
We came back for the Christmas shows, parking 20, tickets 35, beautiful decoration, parade, and the lights show.

Climbed it for a sunrise mountaintop experience, very much worth it. Brought my 3 year old daughter and she was able to walk up most of it only needing help in the very steep parts. Legs were burning but the air was clear and the sunrise was beautiful. Would recommend.

I visited it with my friend's family last June. This place seems to be a park, museum, and amusement park!! You can easily climb to the top of the mountain by sky ride. Reach the top, you can eat delicious ice cream and a cold drink, too. As soon as I stepped on the top of stone mountain, I felt like I had landed on the moon. 🤩A few good tips:1. The parking fee is not cheap but if you are planning to visit there twice or more, I recommend buying annual pass.2. Let the children wear clothes that don't matter if they get wet. There's a water splash attraction that kids really like. Swimsuit? Very good!3. There is a nice train attraction, too. However, if you don’t have enough time and if weather is very hot, the train is not recommended.4. Bring a simple lunch box. It's hard to find a good restaurant there. In closing, Take a lot of great pictures and have a great time! 😍

Beautiful park . I hiked up the main trail but should have brought an umbrella. Because I got heat exhaustion and spent the evening throwing up any food I ate.Be careful in the summer, take an umbrella with you. Take it slow and wait in shade if you feel tired

Our Christmas trip to Stone Mountain was an incredible experience that left us in awe. Stone Mountain itself is an amazing place. We hiked up and descended via telespheric ride. The railroad tour gave us awesome insights into the area's history and the Cherokee trail was a breathtaking adventure. Everything about this place was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommended for anyone.

Wanted to hike while visiting one of my close childhood friends and we ended up settling for this place the day before I had to head back home. For parking it was $20 so just keep that and mind and it was also $20 for the sky ride if you would like to experience that as well. We had a really good time and are glad we went when we did because we got to watch the sunset which made this hike 10000% better. You can see the whole sky and trees from all different parts of this mountain so makes it cool for a couple different stops. For sure should at least check this place out once if you haven’t been there before..

Wish they posted better information at the gate informing people of the additional fees expected after entering and psy the $20 for parking.

Stone Mountain is iconic in Georgia, it’s a public park on a humungous size, it covers over 3,000 acres, it’s main claim to fame is the Stone Mountain Hike which I believe is about 1.5 miles, it’s a hike of various level of steepness’s on exposed granite, proper walking shoes are encouraged, it’s not for one who may have health issues, another way to the top is via the sky ride , the views from the top are amazing, stunning and beautiful, on the other side is faces cast into the granite which is also the position for the light show which occurs at certain times of the year in the evening. The other side of the park houses the amusement and playgrounds for the kids and us larger kids, there is the gift show for a wide range of merchandise relating to getting to the top of Stone Mountain. There is ample car parking available and size of the park makes a great place for walkers and joggers alike

Stone Mountain is a captivating landmark that offers a unique outdoor experience. Its massive granite rock face and surrounding park provide a perfect setting for hiking, picnicking, and enjoying nature. The summit rewards visitors with stunning views of the Atlanta skyline. Stone Mountain is a great park to visit. Both the walking trail around the mountain or up the mountain provides a great view and a enjoyable experience. If you visit I definitely recommend doing the walking trail to the top of the mountain. It's a little under 700 ft in elevation gain and you get a great view of Atlanta and the surrounding area.

Visited Georgia this weekend and finally decided to visit Stone Mountain Park, paid $20 for the day parking which I thought was pretty good and decided to take the loop 5.5 mile trail around the mountain, saw a nice mill house and a couple of deer along as well the lake was gorgeous, got really close to the side of the mountain and looking up was a splendid carving on the mountain, I got to say it was good work put in to it. I saw the train from the train and it was fun to watch. After the trail I decided to leave the park to get something to eat then came back and entered with no problems and made my way up the mountain, it was the perfect timing when I got to the top the sun was just going down, which I had a great view of the sunset setting down on the city of Atlanta. What a great place to visit, I didn't get to see the attractions but it's okay the trail was worth it, take care now.

Avalon is a grand and elaborate complex that boasts of a plaza filled with an array of stores, dining options, and a cinema. The establishment also includes a hotel and apartments for visitors who wish to extend their stays. Its main attraction lies in its picturesque surroundings set against scenic views, making it the most enticing shopping mall in the area. Visitors can enjoy spending quality time with their loved ones in the middle of this beautiful plaza while taking advantage of numerous restaurants available on site.
Great place to shop and dine or even live. Ton of upscale restaurants to choose from. There’s a whole food grocery store and movie theater. Everywhere is pretty walkable once you get here. If you want to live here the townhouses start around million and single family are 3 million. Overall awesome spot to visit.

This is a nice, walkable outdoor shopping mall that’s easy to navigate and not overwhelmingly large. Parking is convenient, though it does get very crowded on weekends. I gave it 4 stars because, while it has a pleasant atmosphere, the restaurants are quite overpriced, and most of the stores are luxury brands, limiting the options a bit. I also only noticed one public restroom available.

What an awesome find. We knew nothing about this area and happened to run across it yesterday. Lots of high end stores and great restaurants. They even have a TESLA store. There’s a hotel and plenty of apartments plus a movie theater. Whole Foods is also close by. It looks like one of those communities where everything is within walking distance.

I have been coming here ever since they built Avalon! It’s been amazing to see how much it and the area has grown since. They have very upscale stores (LuLuLemon, Apple, Anthropologie, CHANEL and more) as well as a good selection of restaurants. It is very well-kept in that the sidewalks and area is kept clean and well-maintained. Depending on the season they host different events. For example, since Christmas is coming up soon they’ll be converting the green area near the fountain to an ice skating rink. They set up pretty lights as well as festive Christmas decorations. The only thing that can be a struggle sometimes is parking- they have a main parking deck as well as metered street parking and lots in front of some of the stores (like ARHAUS). During busy seasons or nights it can sometimes be difficult to find a spot.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I have been working at Cru Food & Wine Bar within here for nearly 8 years now. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else! This place is so magical and always has exciting events all year round. Their staff is always so very pleasant. JACKSON is my absolute favorite. He is the best man around and every guest adores him! Stephan is pretty great too. He keeps that place running smoothly and that helps this place stay top notch.

Super cute place and very walkable. They have music playing through multiple speakers in the area, and have a ton of shops and food on the street. The shopping is a bit more upscale and brand-heavy than a more indie scene, but there were some eclectic food spots.

We love Avalon, you can’t really go wrong here. Kids love playing here on a nice summers day and they have many different events throughout the year. Good options of stores and restaurants. Only downer is some people in the stores - can be racist and look down on ‘brown’ people, until they hear me speak and realise I’m British. Then it all changes, which is so wrong.

Great place to come and enjoy the shops and hangout with friends and family.BUT think again if you want to come in the evening on the weekends.Unless you enjoy getting your ear drums blown out your head from the trunks and cars these young kids pop in the parking deck and out in the main center. It’s not funny. It’s dangerous, obnoxious and annoying.I called the security here because one of these guys thought it was going to be funny to speed in the parking deck next to the pottery barn and purposefully sped up when they saw me speed walking to the car. What did security do? Absolutely NOTHING. All the gentleman said was they’re aware of the issue but there’s nothing they can do.Hopefully they don’t get hit with a lawsuit cause they can’t do “anything” when someone actually gets hurt.

The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue that can seat up to 12,000 people with a pavilion and lawn seating. It hosts famous acts and events. The lawn section provides ample space for visitors to bring their own chairs (excluding tall chairs) to sit on the hill in the center with a fantastic view of the show. Ordering food and drinks from Ticketmaster app is easy, without waiting in lines. Excellent sound quality and beautiful lighting make it a great concert experience.
I've been to a lot of concerts in the greater Atlanta area. But this is my first time at this venue. Parking was a little confusing at first. Mainly because I wasn't paying attention to the signs they had in several places directing you to various parking locations. My parking pass was included with the purchase of my ticket. I don't think I've ever had better general parking than I did here. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to walk from car to entrance of venue. The layout inside was easy to navigate. And the sound stage was awesome. I will be going back 100%. Ameris Bank Amphitheater only got 5 stars because more wasn't an option.

The concert we went to was very fun. The restrooms were clean throughout the venue and day. Was not about to try the food but it did look and smell good. Assigned seating was not bad. We were in section 103. Each seat had a cup holder, bag holder, armrests and a back and were decently comfortable.

This was an extremely cool venue for the Arctic Monkeys to play at! The way that the hill is built into the amphitheater is amazing and the surrounding vendors and area is also great. Beautiful location and amazing show!

Went for the Glass Animals concert. The place had good parking, and it was an awesome experience. The place was fully packed on that day. Can't wait to go for some more concerts in the future.

Very nice venue for a show or concert. Good seats all over and plenty of room on the lawn for bargain hunters. Sound system and lighting were good. You can't take DSLR cameras in and can't leave at front if it is a good camera.

Love Ameris Bank Amphitheater. It is laid out perfectly so that even if you have lawn seats you still have a phenomenal view. There are bathrooms and drinks at the top and the bottom of the theater for easy access from either direction. The only downsides might be the parking and food. There is really only one way in and one way out, so pack your patience or come and leave early. The food is great, there just isn't a lot of variety. Lots of different drink choices though and they do have a free water station with clean filtered water.Really I would give it a 4.5 if I had the option. As I said I really love this venue.

Pretty good venue. We went to see Glass Animals. We were in section 102. Though the lawn is actually a pretty good height and angle to be able to see the stage here. A lot of amphitheaters don't have such an elevation gain. Once people stand up in front of you in most amphitheaters you can see while sitting. Some rows you can still see, as well as all of the lawn can see still.Parking going in was pretty good, there wasn't much traffic or restriction going inBut leaving, that left lots to be desired. It took us an hour to get out of parking lot A, even though we were all the way at the bottom of the lot in area A7.Lots of expensive drink options. $24 for a mixed drink and $6 for a canned water. Though they were pretty good.

We saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse live. The outdoor venue was safe (metal detector entry), clean, inviting and had lots of vendors on site for drinks, fries and other snacks. Bathroom facilities were available and well stocked. Several parking lots surrounding the venue were available with advanced included parking with ticket. Recommend arriving early to find the lots and your space. Concert was fab! Sound system was good and got better after several songs. After concert exit was as expected slow and backed up but moving. All in all a good experience. I’d come back for other shows.

I’m an avid concert goer. I sometimes average 2 concerts a month. What can I say, music is the soundtrack of my life & I love live music! Ameris is a very nice amphitheater. I love summer and fall concerts here because even the lawn is a great show! I’ve had seats under the covered area, but more recently spread a blanket and enjoyed Dan + Shay and John Legend with ASO. Security is organized and efficient. Concessions are just ok/average. A few tips: 1. No outside food. 2. Clear/small bag policy (I suggest clear bags-makes security check a breeze) 3. Only short beach chairs allowed for the lawn, but you’ll be fine with a blanket. They also have chairs you can rent. 4. Venue is cashless, so bring your card or phone for tap to pay.

Best venue I've ever been too! Parking was easy with a little wait but not too bad. Tons of food and drinks options with no wait. And the seating and sound at the venue was amazing. Took my kids to see falling in reverse and black veil brides. Also lots of food and shopping options close to the venue.

We went here for Dan+Shay and were able to get pretty good seats. Row F in Section 2 is directly behind the standing area. The seats give you a solid view of the stage. One thing I wish was better is that the standing area and the front row are at the same level. The standing area is not like an orchestra pit where it's lower than the first first row. This could be an issue for some. It turned out to work ok for us.For the most part, getting in and out was straightforward. The staff were all friendly and professional. The place is pretty clean. We love the outdoor feel with the nice evening breeze. We'll definitely come back for future concerts at this venue.

I see a lot of shows here, i prefer seating, but the lawn even has a good view. They also have large screens so you can see the performers better.

This is my favorite outdoor venue for concerts! Great seats and the lawn seats have great acoustics! Make sure you bring beach type chairs (camping chairs impede views and are not allowed in) if you purchase lawn tickets. Parking is normally included with each ticket purchase and is first come per lot assignment, so make sure you get there early or risk paying.

This is our first visit to the amphitheater. Really enjoyed as well. Run laid out very well. Easy to park and get into lots of places to grab a cold, something to drink or some nice hot, delicious food. Lots of volunteers too once you're in the correct direction to help you find your seat.

Excellent venue. Great view from the lawn. Great sounds. Super organized. Parking was smooth. Wish there was more non-alcoholic choices and food choices

Great venue! There are several levels with stairs that take you to various vendors. Plenty of restrooms and the stage area itself is really cool. Lighting effects and fire effects were awesome.

Really like this amphitheater. Proximity to home parking and staff make this a great venue for concerts. parking is great and there are many options but beware the closer to showtime the worse the traffic . There's a range of typical snacks and food available and an array of beverage choices from bar to water. The seating is great with space for other patrons to get by you without feeling intrusive. I did notice that rows r to z seem to be at the sane level which makes for pior visuals at time depending who is sitting in front of you. I will definitely be looking to visit again.
Alisha W — Google review
Great venue! They have an option to upgrade your ticket if you feel like venturing into the pit rather than sit on the lawn. The covered area is awesome for inclement weather!
Codie C — Google review
The amphitheater is similar to others. It seats about 12,000 with 7,000 under a roof. Seats are actually comfortable. Concessions, while prices are high are amazingly good. The $10 pretzel with cheese was so good, we had to get a second one. We will certainly be back

Great concert! Venue was clean and easy to navigate. Had VIP parking and traffic was not crazy when trying to leave even parked so close. Would visit again.
Paul E — Google review
Very impressed with the venue’s coordination! Saw Glass Animals here and they were fantastic. We had lawn seats and could still see the stage. They must also manicure and spray for bugs as we didn’t get any mosquito bites nor see any big dirt patches on the lawn. Parking was very easy, they had a multitude of attendants waving you down to the correct spot, we were led to park in a gravel lot. Security was also very quick, they had multiple lines and attendants to direct you. Be warned! If you have lawn tickets, you can’t bring a camping chair! Beach chairs only because they’re lower to the ground. The security did open our chairs to make sure they were low enough. Also you can bring an empty reusable water bottle to fill up inside which was nice. Like most big stadiums they had a clear bag policy as well. Overall very enjoyable experience.

Wills Park Recreation Center in North Fulton County offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages, including walking paths, baseball fields, disc golf, tennis courts, and open spaces for relaxation. Visitors can also enjoy an equestrian arena and dog park. With its numerous amenities and diverse options for outdoor fun, Wills Park is truly a special place worth experiencing.
A great park full of memories and families. There’s something for everyone here, tennis, basketball, baseball, disk golf, workout equipment, dog parks, a coffee shop in the rec hall, foosball, horseback riding… it goes on and on. My personal favorite is the wooden castle playground, as a kid the place seems huge and safe, there’s so much to explore. It’s worth checking out if you’re just passing by, it’s quite a sight.

First time visiting and it was an absolute blast. This park has a little bit of everything. Swimming pools, basketball, and tennis courts, multiple different playgrounds, benches along the running track, although a little disappointed at the lack of signs for the run routes. They also have an equestrian area. A definite recommend if you are searching for a new park to visit.

Wills Park is simply wonderful so so many reasons. From walking paths, to baseball fields, to disc golf, to tennis courts and so much more, Wills Park is a most wonderful amenity here in North Fulton County. It even boasts open spaces to relax, throw a frisbee, kick or throw a ball or to just relax with a novel or non-fiction offering. In terms of recreation, Wills Park is truly a special place. For those who are lucky enough to live in close proximity to Wills, I'd venture to guess that it would be a favorite park.If you are in the area, remember not to miss this special place. And for those who might venture a car trip to experience it, I would recommend that they do.

A great area for short hikes or letting the kids to play. The park is well maintained, there are several playgrounds and Wacky World is one of the best locations to let your kids play. There were millions of squirls and the girls really liked them.

The park was neat and tidy. There weren't many people, and there were swimming pools and equestrian riding courses. One lap is about 1.7 miles away. There is a lot of consideration for walking with pets and children. There are many parking lots, so you can use them conveniently. It is minor negative that the stream is small and there is no pond. If you live in Alpharetta, you must visit there once.
ATL R — Google review
The park itself and facilities are lovely and well-maintained. However, the tennis coach employed by the park regularly screams at students, blasts music through a speaker, lets her students play soccer on the courts, and has harassed my group for having a basket of balls on our reserved court. The parks are otherwise perfect, so it’s a shame that the city chooses to employ this individual who detracts from others’ experiences.

Love this park. Trail is amazing, park is clean and the playground is fun for kids of all ages. Park has lots of seats if you want a nice cozy place to sit and read a good book. Cute doggies walking around and there’s fenced areas for doggies of all sizes to play which is great because it cuts down on dog poo being all over the park. Alpharetta community center is there as well, there’s a number of things for people in the community to get into there. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 😁

Absolutely love this park! It literally has everything! Several playgrounds, baseball courts, tennis courts, frisbee baskets and a stables for horses even! Yeah, you can come here on a weekend and see a horse ride competition. I should also mention some picnic areas with grills available and of course, the best swimming pool (for extra cost) in the area! Love! Love! Love!

We've been coming to this pool every summer for the last four years. My daughter absolutely loves swimming and jumping off the diving boards! The addition of the huge water slide is great. The concession stand is good, just a little pricey, and they are always out of the ice cream my daughter wants. I would have given 5 stars, but this year I have noticed that the lifeguards employed here are not very pleasant. The previous years, they have always been friendly and helpful, and 2 years ago, there was even one lifeguard that stayed late and waited with us inside when my car broke down and we were waiting on my husband to come get us. But so far this year, they have all been rude, and seem to be on some sort of power trip.

Every time I've come to this park theres swarms of leaf blowers and landscapers with loud lawnmowers. Its the most unpeaceful park in existence. Guys with lawnmowers and gator vehicles driving past you on the walking trail and leaf blowers blowing dirt and debree clouds all over the place for what? who cares if there are leaves on the ground? Its not worth the noise and nuisance.

Our first visit, we loved Wills Park! We played mostly on the "castle playground". The play area, bathroom nearby, parking lot and pavilions were clean and pretty well kept. We will be back to play here as well as explore the other two playgrounds.

I had a very similar experience. Wells Park is a beautiful and well-maintained park that my family prefers for playing tennis. However, the city-contracted tennis instructor there is very rude and aggressive. Although we approached her very politely and amicably about sharing the courts that we reserved and paid for, she aggressively claimed the courts. This behavior is not a good representation of the park staff or contractors and is very off-putting. The park needs a clear policy on how contracted instructors should interact with the general public. Additionally, a set number of courts should be reserved for public use, rather than all being reserved for city-contracted instructors at their preferred time. Wells Park is a public park meant to be enjoyed by the community, not monopolized by rude contractors.

I was only here once for a 4th of July event but it was awesome. They had a fireworks show that started around 9 and lasted about 20 minutes. They had about 5 vendor trucks. Wish there was more but it was still good.
Kamsola — Google review
Wills Park is a park I frequented as a child and is one I still enjoy as an adult as it has been well-kept throughout the years. However, the tennis coach employed by the park has recently made Wills Park feel inhospitable and unwelcoming. She routinely plays music despite the court rules banning speakers, and I have seen her allow students to disregard rules as well by playing non-racquet sports on court. As I was leaving the courts earlier this week with my friends and a basket of balls, she yelled that teaching wasn’t allowed and then refused to speak or engage further. I’ve heard that she’s approached others in a more aggressive manner but I do not understand how she is claiming that people are not allowed to reach when the online court reservation system and park website mention no such rule and she is clearly teaching herself. I love Wills Park, but do not want to continue paying for court reservations if a park employee feels she is able to yell and be rude to others who have just as much of a right to play tennis at a public park as she and her students do.

Zoos & Aquariums
Zoo Atlanta is a large and modern zoo that houses many animals from 220 different species. It features giant pandas and a Panda Conservation Center that is home to the only twins of the species. The zoo operates with the goal of conservation and education, which makes it a great place to learn about different animals and their habitats.
This is a great zoo. Not overly large which makes it better for families with little kids still finding their legs. Most of the area's were shaded well to keep from getting too hot. The exhibits looked well Maintained and the animals seemed healthy and taken care of. Food options were just OK. Go early to find close parking.

Pretty large zoo with lots of places to go. The informational signs to educate attendees about animal trafficking was very nice, and each enclosure seemed like a good size. Staff members were helpful and well-informed, and the trick-or-treat experience was fun for the kids. My only quip is the food and drink, the staff didn’t know much about how to make either.

They have some of the nicest people working at this zoo! From the girl at the front to the lady scanning our tickets, they took the time to talk to my niece and it was absolutely adorable! We rode the carousel, train and played in the splash pad before seeing all of the animals. They had workers stationed throughout the zoo to educate about the different animals in the exhibits which was awesome. I learned way more than usual since I'm notorious for not reading signs. This was a wonderful stop on our vacation!

We had fun exploring seeing the animals but the overall experience was okay. It’s a smaller zoo than other ones we’ve visited. There were cute Halloween decorations around. Many of the food areas were closed even and the cafe is over priced. It was sorta depressing feeling with the lion habitat under construction and you can hear the lions. The otter habitat water looked low compared to when I first visit in 2022 (that experience was better)We rode the carousel and train with the combo wristband. The carousel attendant was amazing, We rode twice back to back then another two times after our train ride. She always had a smile on her face and she never made us get off to get in line, she just made sure we were staying on and recounted us. The young train attendants were blah, we rode three times back to back but they made us get off the second time just to get back in line and the crazy part, it wasn’t even busy. No long lines or no carts filled to capacity. Literally they had multiple empty carts so why we had to get off was beyond me.All in all, we still had fun. We can check that off our places to visit list...

Took the whole family out to see the pandas. They did not disappoint. Of course, all of the other animals are great to see, too, but in Houston, we don't have pandas. We were able to rent a powered mobile chair for my wife. Made it nice and comfortable for her.

We came to Zoo Atlanta on a weekend and had a lot of fun! We used the Atlanta City Pass which gave us the option to come to the zoo. We really liked it here. You do have to pay to park using Park Mobile which was interesting because you have to estimate how much time you want to spend there. You can set a lower time and then add more later, though. There is a general line to get in, where they have multiple stalls where you either buy tickets or keep walking through to get scanned in. The line was not too long. They had someone ushering people to the stalls so it moved very quickly and smoothly. We got to see the pandas which was really cool. A lot of the animals were brought to a different location to avoid the heat. The animals are well taken care of and have beautiful habitats. We got to see a lot of the animals because we came pretty early, so it was still cool outside. A lot of them were asleep, but we were still able to see them. Walking around the zoo was beautiful. They have a lot of lush plants that provided a good amount of shade as you walk through the zoo. When we came, it was not too busy. There were a few gift shops scattered throughout the area, but the main one was the one we went to before we left. We spent about 2 hours here, though I probably could have done more. There were a lot of volunteers and workers who were all super nice and passionate, which we loved. All in all, this was an amazing experience and we would definitely come back.

City pass is a must if you’re touring around Atlanta. Save yourself money. The zoo Atlanta was cute, a little disappointed not being able to see panda or lions but had a good time overall. The petting zoo was fun and the goats are friendly, well taken care of. Seeing the sloth was a highly of my day! I love sloths 🦥 plus there was a baby sloth. The rhino was shy at first until it came outside to pee which was an interesting moment since we were excited for the rhino to come out. The zoo had some shows which I can’t talk on since I didn’t go to any of them. I did walk around the whole zoo and is though it’s a small zoo a lot of animals and interesting facts. I definitely recommend.

The Zoo was a beautiful oasis in the city. Every staff person I met was smiling. The education ambassadors were excited to share their knowledge. I was able to store my luggage with Member Services so I could visit the zoo on my way to the airport. The zoo has good directional signage and a map that actually matches the layout! Food stalls and restrooms are well-spaced along the routes. I had a hot dog that was out of this world delicious. The enclosures are well-maintained with elements designed to stimulate the animals' cognition. I visited earlier in the morning and most of the animals were out playing or eating. It was a great time to go!

The family and I had such a good time at Zoo Atlanta. We came in from Florida, and this was stop number 1. There is nothing like the nostalgia and sheer awe of experiencing these amazing and majestic animals. My youngest daughter had the time of her life, especially when we got to brush and pet the goats. Our favorite experience was watching the baby gorilla drag around a tree branch and figure out what it was. What an amazing time.

I didn't have a lot of time but I was flying out late in the afternoon and I wanted to spend the extra time here seeing the pandas before they leave. It's a really great zoo, the enclosures are all large and beautifully kept, there's a wide array of species, and though I didn't have time to get them in, they had some really fun looking rides and attractions for an extra cost. I'd definitely love to come back some time when I have more time and just enjoy the day. And the zoo obviously had no control over it but the weather was fantastic!

If Monte Python’s Cheese shop were a zoo….Remarkably free of animals. It’s like the board of directors thought…. The best way to increase profit is to build an enclosure and out of a poster of “what could he there”.I spent $37 for 2 hot dogs and 2 drinks. Now I expect to get fleeced at a park…. It took 20 minutes in line and 20 minutes to pick up a hot dog that I had to put the condiments on myself. - a gas station could do it in u see a minute. Maybe it was a proposed sloth exhibit- They should put up a sign. This would’ve been a one star review, however, there were some redeeming points. The weather was absolutely spectacular-not that the zoo had any control over that. It was a wonderfully relaxed time with my son and they had some large animals that were pretty impressive. A lone gorilla on a hillside. Two beautiful elephants that were actually the highlight of the day. And the rhinoceros.

FANTASTIC!I am aware that not everyone agrees with zoos. I get it. But it is one way to increase awareness of the impact of humans on our environment. Some of the animals are in danger of becoming extinct. With that being said, this is a fabulous zoo to visit! It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the Atlanta area! They do have immersion experiences, but unfortunately, we did not realize this ahead of time, and they were sold out.We did, however, feed the giraffes! What a delightful experience to see their prehensile tongue! We also leaned tidbits from the staff about giraffes! It was also awe-inspiring to see the pandas, which are slated to return to China soon after being in Atlanta for 25 years! This will be on our list whenever we return to Atlanta!

I was actually really impressed with our visit here! It’s been a long time since I had visited. You can get pretty close to all of the animals and they were pretty active on the day we visited. Almost all the animals were out and about with a lot of movement. We were most impressed with the gorillas exhibit. The only thing I’ll say is I think it was tad overpriced. But we would definitely visit again.

The flamingos, reptile collection and Giraffe feeding were some of the highlights. Lion den was under construction and many of the animals were not in habitat. Overall average experience for the price paid. Lot of food stalls and washrooms. Most of the pathways are covered by trees so will not be difficult to visit during hotter days. Parking is 3$ per hour or 12$ for day pass.

Pandas! Pandas! Amazing experience to see these beautiful creatures up close. Also never saw so many gorillas at zoo before. The staff was friendly and saw them stopping to offer education on animals even though they were on their way elsewhere. Zoo is easy to walk with lots of opportunities for shade. The parking is a bit of a hike if the small lot is full and have to use garage.

Enjoyed my experience at the Atlanta Zoo. My fiance and I were in Atlanta for a conference. On the last day of our trip we decided to check out the Atlanta Zoo. Loved it! I especially enjoyed the Panda Bears and the Alpacas. There were other exotic animals, a train throughout the park, and a kids area. If ever in Atlanta...I would definitely suggest checking out. I'd hurry though if you want to check out the Panda Bears though...they will be going back to China sometime in the fall.

Bought tickets in advance so it was super quick to get in. The parking was easy follow and find, and we had no trouble getting back to our car. So many animals to look at (theres a map), it's fun and exciting to see things in real life for the first time. I would recommend going here, as there are great concessions, workers, and animals.

Small but fun zoo experience! The red pandas, elephants and sun bears were a highlight. We originally came for the pandas but we’re very sad to learn that they have been returned to china. We should have done more research. Those were definitely the staple animal for this zoo so it feels like something is missing without them. Also saw the Christmas lights display as they were going up and highly recommend checking those out! Looks awesome!

Visiting Atlanta for the first time and Zoo Atlanta was recommended! With good reason! This is a great Zoo. My local Zoo, you are in for the day as it is a serious hike to get through it. This zoo is well laid out and compact! We made our way through it in just over two hours and we saw it all and stopped to take in the critters! And there are many here.... Elephants, giraffes ( my favorite), lions, tigers and bears oh my! (Sorry...) And Pandas! Plus much more... Well worth the trip. Like every zoo admission, the price is a bit steep, but not out of line compared to others. So, go! A little old for the playground, but it looks awesome and there is a train which is always fun!!

Went near the end of the day and stayed later for a special event, but the animals were all awesome to see.Reptile house was VERY dark, so we couldn't see much, not sure if it is normally like that. The lion exhibit was half blocked off by construction as they were working on expanding said exhibit. Family loved the elephants.Staff were kind and friendly, answering all questions about the animals, as well as assisting an older member of our group get a wheel chair, with a smile on his face.

We always have such an amazing time at Zoo Atlanta! The staff is not only friendly but really knowledgeable. They love talking about the animals. Even though the Lion habitat is under renovation we could hear them roaring throughout the Zoo! We were also there as they were setting up for IllumiNights and let me tell you, the installations are beautiful in the daytime so they must be magnificent at night!!! Oh and the sloths have a baby right now that kept peeking out to say hi. We love visiting Zoo Atlanta in the Fall! If you need a walking break then head to the carousel or the playground by the mole rats. Finally if you have a big family consider taking advantage of the Zoo Pass available at your library! Enjoy!

It features prominent exhibitions spanning 30 acres of lush gardens with unique and awe-inspiring flora and fauna. Nearby Piedmont Park provides easy access for residents and visitors to enjoy the botanical gardens stunning scenery and tranquil environment.
Nice and quiet, peaceful but a lot of walking, lots of places to sit and relax and lot of small hills and ups and downs throughout. There is lots of flowers and beautiful scenery everywhere overall it's worth the time. Make sure you bring some water with you and good walking shoes, it's so worth the trip to see everything that's there, plan to spend 4 or more hours there. There is a restaurant inside and lots of water fountains that really don't work, but if you bring an empty container there are places you can fill them up with water.

The experience at the Atlanta Botanical Garden was phenomenal! My favorite sections were the orchid house and the edible garden. The high elevator orchid exhibit has many very rare and special orchids that are tiny - including some pitcher plants as well. The layout of the entire garden is wonderful for meandering around on a nice day and I was surprised at how uncrowded each exhibit was despite coming at a peak weekend time.We came during the day so we missed the Christmas lights, but I hear they are gorgeous and seem to be sprinkled throughout garden in unexpected and delightful ways.As a native Californian was wasn’t too surprised by the cactus garden. The dry heat of the exhibit was a nice way to start our day because it was a bit chilly when we first arrived. The larger suspension bridge section was beautiful and has seats so you can sit and enjoy the views.I was happy that the rose garden was still blooming but I definitely think that this falls off the closer to winter that we get. This would be perfect for families to bring their kids - in fact there is a train that goes round the plaza near the orchid promenade.Parking was inexpensive (~5$) and admission was less than 60$ for two people. If I lived in town I would certainly get a membership and pay for the parking pass to reduce the cost of coming regularly.10/10 would come again!

The staff are all friendly and helpful. There are so much to see, especially now when the Alice exhibit has returned. It is most excellent! Most paths correspond with the labelled map provided at the main entrance. However, in some areas there needs to be more signage, like how to get to the Earth Goddess (not a lot of people know it as the Cascade Garden). The fork before didn’t have enough clear indication. I would love to take the guided tour, but I believed the website said there is only one daily at 10:30am. I would definitely come back again for another visit.

What a gem for the community! The gardens are very well maintained with paths that wander all over the place, delighting you with the view around every new corner. The staff at the restaurant are excellent and the food choices were unexpectedly high end. Although we just had a snack and a beer, service was attentive and the food was delicious. I would definitely try this as a dinner venue.

This place is absolutely beautiful!!! There is so much to see and do throughout the park. Moderately priced entrance fee. Plenty of parking. The scenery is just gorgeous. Please wear comfortable shoes, you will be doing a great deal of walking. Don't forget to get a map of the park when you enter. And no, there aren't any bugs to bother you.

A well maintained botanical garden inside the heart of Atlanta. It’s worth a visit for locals and visitors. Currently they are showcasing Alice in wonderland exhibit. I love their detail oriented to make sure that a person with wheelchair can see whole garden easily. Parking can be challenging on the weekends. They do have a few designated EV chargers available. We spent about 3 hours enjoying our time.

This is my happy place, if you have time to kill and don't want to be indoors, head here. Lots of walking, lots of benches for not walking, plenty space for little & big ones to runaround. Take a book, journal, get some food, enjoy life. They have rotating exhibits that add a new flare for each visit. Well worth the money, highly recommend.

This is probably the best botanical gardens I've been to in the southeast. It's so beautiful and a lot of variety of plants there. Plenty to do here from events to just seeing. We also ate and the restaurant and the food was delicious and pricing is fair. An awesome place everyone should check out at least once.

Came here with my fiancé for something fun to do while visiting Atlanta. Admission was worth every penny. We came during an Alice-in-Wonderland theme at the park and we were amazed by the botanical sculptures. So much to see.Additionally, we explored the children's sections of the park, packed with sights and activities for the kiddos. Very fun, cute, and in some cases, educational!

My visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden was absolutely amazing. This place is a true gem, offering an immersive experience for nature lovers. During the day, you get to enjoy the beauty of their extensive collection of plants, with some of the most breathtaking flowers and greenery I’ve ever seen. What makes it even more special is the potential it has at night. While I didn’t stay after dark, it’s clear that the way they light up the trees transforms the garden into something magical. I can imagine it being a whole different world at night with the lighting, making it worth experiencing both during the day and after sunset. If you’re ever in Atlanta, I highly recommend visiting this garden—it’s a peaceful escape that leaves a lasting impression.

Fantastic! Spent all day here, enjoying the flowers and displays. There was a scarecrow exhibition going on that was creative & fun. The grounds are well laid out and nicely tended. A couple of times garden staff heard us wondering about something and they answered our questions. You could tell they clearly have pride in their work. Beautiful.

Really nice botanical gardens. The themed Alice in Wonderland was pretty cool. Like a scavenger hunt for the decorated statue things. Lots to see and walk around, especially if you like plants. The indoor tropical plant houses were really cool, got to see some frogs and turtles. But lots of really cool flowers and unique plants. Definitely makes me want to buy some fancy plants and grow them. The skybridge walk across the road was really cool and very unsuspecting. I had no idea that bridge was that cool driving underneath it. Lots of shade on that side of the park.

I visit Atlanta at least once a year and no trip is complete without a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Sure, there are many things to see and do in Atlanta, but for my money the beauty and serenity found here is matchless.Amongst the many regular things to see (like the Earth Goddess) there’s always something new happening. This last visit showcased a flock of scarecrows placed all over the grounds! Such fun!Next time you’re in Atlanta, stop by, relax and amble around this amazing space nestled in the city!

This is a beautiful garden with winding trails and plenty of places to stop and enjoy nature. I loved the special area for children that offered creative activities and a small park for the kids to play. The flowers were gorgeous and there are plenty of restrooms throughout the park. When you go, stop in to the edible garden where there is an onsite chef that prepares lovely sample recipes with the vegetables grown onsite. The adult admission is $29.95, which in my humble opinion is a bit pricey, but this is Atlanta. Overall enjoyed my time at the garden.

We really enjoyed our visit here to see the Alice in Wonderland exhibit. We spent a lot longer here than anticipated because there was so much to see and do! We went on a Thursday when they serve cocktails and I enjoyed a yummy beer as well. Overall I highly recommend it!

This is a phenomenal place to visit with just about anyone at any age! People of all ages really enjoy the sights to the garden!I was so excited to see Alice in Wonderland return.I will say with the heat we are experiencing, I highly advise bringing some water and a fan with you. There are maps available when you first start your adventure that can double as a fan 😉 You can easily be here for around 2 hours without noticing! It’s a wonderful place to take aesthetic pictures as well.

The gardens was clean and pretty. The trails were walkable and there was plenty of seating all throughout. The big exhibits (Alice in Wonderland) were the best part to me. Other than the exotic plants and the conservatory, I think I have a good bit of the same plants in my backyard. They were arranged nice though.I think Botanical Gardens in general just aren’t my cup of tea, but I was also really frustrated walking around. The exhibit names didn’t all match the map so it was hard to figure out where on the map I was and signage was lacking, to say the least. There were several other people I saw and talked to who had the same issue.

I came here specifically to see the Earth Goddess in all of her glory. I was not disappointed. They had the Halloween decorations out and about and several of them represented different "celebrity" or movie characters. It was entertaining to see. We enjoyed it all so much. I swear there were about 30,000 pumpkins there. The Rain Forest exhibits were amazing. I was in awe at almost every turn. The edible garden was nice but a bit bland. I bet it's gorgeous out here at nightfall.

What an outstanding way to spend the day! We went for the first time today with all three kids and everyone had a blast. There are so many amazing things to see like the Earth Goddess, the suspension bridge (canopy walk), the singing flowers, and so much more. The greenhouses are jam packed with crazy plants, and everything in the entire park is just so well maintained. It truly is a plant lovers dream!Pro Tip: Definitely consider bringing a backpack with water. When it's sunny out, you're gonna feel it!

This place was stunning!! The Alice in Wonderland theme was amazing. All of the plants were lush and green. I was shocked by how amazing this place was. I 100% recommend coming here. All of the greenery was breathtaking, and I can tell that tons of love goes into maintaining it. The gardens are so intricate, and I wouldn't be lying if I said that I didn't see even one wilted leaf. It was my favorite stop in all of Atlanta, and you should definitely stop there.

If you want to kill time and spend it sightseeing with family, I HIGHLY recommend this place! There is so much to see. They have beautifully organized rows of all kinds of plants and flowers. Truly such an impressive sight to see. The variety of plants is amazing! They have multiple different gardens, each are super unique. They also have different greenhouses as well, they had an orchid one, a desert one, and a tropical one. They are so immersive, it felt as though I had walked into Pandora from Avatar.

Stunning. The plant sculptures were gorgeous and so creative. The bridge walk through the woods was refreshing. Certainly, summer in Atlanta is hot; however, there were several buildings scattered throughout the grounds to go into and cool off. Wearing lightweight breathable clothing would be wise. I appreciated that there were plenty of restrooms and water fountains.

I have never been here for you before so I cannot say for sure but I think it is well worth it to go and they have a thing going on. Currently it is the Alice in Wonderland theme and it is out of this world. The garden was extremely expensive and if it was not so hot we probably could have stayed here longer but we did end up staying here for about 5 hours which was plenty of time. On the weekend they have a cooking demonstration which was a nice break from the heat. There's definitely something for everybody here and for anybody who's into herpetology they also have turtles. They offer military discount which was very nice. Parking was extremely long so we were happy we walked. The only downside is that you can only reenter if it is less than 15 minutes from when you leave. This was not idea. Overall though. I had a great time.

Incredible experience. So glad I got to see the Alice exhibit and the glass art exhibits! The orchid house is gorgeous, a must see. Great walk, probably two or so hours for the whole place at a mid moderate pase. Probably longer with children but they did have a big grass area with live kids music and activities. The Lillie's were a great sight too! So much beautiful art spread around, especially the glass chandelier.

Beautiful plant life, art and exhibits. You could easily spend 3 to 4 hours here. Fall was also the perfect time to come in my honest opinion. Only drawback here was the food. We wanted to eat at a restaurant but they were hosting a wedding. We were then shown to the snack cart and my sandwich was very soggy. Don’t go for the food obviously.

Amazing historical park that includes the birth home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ebenezer Baptist church, and the tomb where Dr. King and his wife Coretta are laid to rest. Enjoyed the small museum inside the visitors center that does a good job going over Dr. King’s accomplishments and setting the stage of the system he would go up against. The actual birth home was unfortunately closed due to renovations expected to be completed by next year. We were given a great overview of the house and the childhood life of Dr. King by one of the park rangers that was a certified A plus! Overall a great place to go for history buffs and those curious about Dr. King and the Civil rights movement. Make sure to go on a sunny day!

This place is excellent for national history. As an immigrant, visiting the Martin Luther King center with my children made history come alive. I saw the house in which he grew up, there were documentaries that were shown at specific times daily, there were TVs showing the different times of the non-violent movement, and the cart that was used to carry his coffin was there live. I commend the US government for preserving the entire space and making it a national museum. It's a great place to visit with children. There were many visitors and a lot of school children who visited the place when I did.

Went on a weekend and it was an amazing experience. Getting to see what fire trucks were like back in the days, as well as the structure of buildings. Loved each of MLK’s important quotes being written on the wall as you walk down the waterway. I don’t remember buying tickets in advance, but it’s always good to be proactive. I gained a lot of insight and knowledge from this visit, more than some of the books told us to be honest.

Well worth going to if you are in Atlanta. The grounds cover many aspects of Dr. King's life in his place of his birth. So important to reflect on his history because it is our shared history. Was a fantastic way to help develop the conversation around racism & bigotry with my boys, both the 9 and 20 year old. Amazing to walk down the street where Dr. King walked from his home to his church where he learned and honed his ideals and craft. Grateful.

Great place to visit. We have had a hard history and I think the most emotional part for me was watching a young boy reading what we had done to people who looked like him. We have come a long way but we are not there yet!

What an amazing place to visit. We had a great day visiting. We found street parking easily about two blocks away. The house where Dr King was raised is school for renovation, but there is still plenty to see and learn. Walk a block down the street and learn the significance the fire station had on his life. Walk across the street and see a beautiful water feature where Dr and Mrs King are laid to rest.Continue your walk to the Ebinezer Baptist Church, and then cross street and further enjoy the national park and all there is to learn and appreciate. We are only 60 or so years outside of the work of The Civil Rights Movement and this stop is an excellent place to learn the value of what it took to get here.We will absolutely return in the future when the restoration is completed at the house.

What an experience and I am glad my family and I were able to attend this National site. The facilities are clean and the grounds are well kept.We did the tour and presentation of the church and that was an absolute pleasure. The park ranger on 10/4 did an amazing job keeping us engaged in the stories of MLK Jr’s life. The park rangers are very knowledgeable.Unfortunately, we could not take a tour of MLKs home as it is undergoing renovations, but I am sure it will be spectacular to see once completed. This is a must visit and a great learning opportunity for children of all ages. The location for the church, fire station and MLK house are all walkable and easy for all abilities.

The final resting place of the great Martin Luther King was a beautiful and reflective space. The National Park is free. It was interesting to witness Coretta Scott King’s vision to preserve their community because COMMUNITY was what Dr. King preached about often. We visited the civil rights museum the day before so the exhibits at the MLK National Park did feel quite dated in comparison. Maybe donations could be more encouraged. I didn’t see a place to donate.

Visiting the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park was an eye-opening and inspiring experience. The tour, starting from the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, was exceptionally well done. Our ranger was incredibly charismatic and knowledgeable, weaving together a compelling narrative that brought Dr. King's life and legacy to vivid life. The ranger's storytelling skills and ability to answer a multitude of questions made the tour both informative and engaging. One of the highlights of the visit was the tour of Dr. King's house. Although the house is currently under construction, the video presentation provided in lieu of a physical tour was equally captivating and informative. It offered a deep dive into Dr. King's personal and professional life, making the history come alive even in the absence of the actual house tour. The park itself is beautifully maintained, with grounds that reflect the significance and serenity of Dr. King's legacy. Walking through the park, visitors can explore various aspects of his life and work, all while being surrounded by a diverse group of people who come together to honor his memory. This diversity added to the overall enriching experience, as it underscored the widespread impact of Dr. King's efforts.

Great experience and very informative. My favorite part of the trip was visiting the church and the ranger giving the story of Martin Luther King Jr.The trip was a very positive experience however one thing I would note is that the area is not safe. So if you bring your kids just keep an eye on them and be aware.

I loved visiting this museum, that includes several stops. The tour of the Ebenezer church was quite interesting. MLK’s house was under renovation when I was there (November 2024), so unfortunately not open for visit. The exhibit is educational and it complements the one at the National Centre for Civil and Human Rights. Having said that, I believe this museum is in need of renovation. Buildings are run down and I think MLK legacy deserves better. Note that the museum is free, which is a bonus.

No words can fully describe being here! I walked around the corner (from where I parked) and stopped dead in my tracks. It's so surreal. I plan to go back before I leave, but I'm unsure if I'll be able to. It's free to the public. There's no reason not to go! Bucket list check off, but I'll come again and again!

This was a great museum. Parking was ample and free and admission was free as well. There was actually more here for my kids (6 and 9) to do than there was at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights which has a few. (Both are great, but again this was a bit more kid-friendly)If you go, MLK’s birthplace and tomb are right across the street- don’t miss them.

It was surreal visiting this historical place. Free entrance. I visited on Sunday. I wished I came at 10 am to take in service at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. It wasn’t as busy since I was there in the morning, so I got to enjoy my visit. This is a must see for anyone who believes in freedom and Dr King’s dream. I was saddened at the sight of the carriage that carried MLK for his funeral, and also at the tomb site for him and his wife Coretta. You need time to soak it all in. So much history there. But the sight of ( Black) homelessness and mental health around the park is even more heartbreaking. A stark reminder how far we are from true progress. I did see security guards outside on the grounds too. The gift shops are closed on Sundays.

Always fabulous shows. Never a bad seat in the house. I look forward to spending more time at the Fox. Easily accessible from anywhere in the city and surrounding area. Parking is affordable. The staff is hospitable in helping you find your seats. The marquee is beautiful at the historic Fox.Please note that some shows prohibit pictures and recordings but a memorable moment in time nonetheless. They call it the Fabulous Fox for a reason! After seeing many performances here, we decided to kick off the Halloween season with a ghost tour here. The walking tour was jammed packed with history and tales of reported ghostly sighting as we were led through the nooks and crannies of this gorgeous theater. MVP goes to the ghost of Roosevelt (10/7/23.)One word of caution, avoid the Espresso Martini...it's terribly frightful.

An absolutely AMAZING venue! It’s absolutely stunning.Every seat offers an excellent view and comfortable seats, leg room and space between people (I’m short and not too wide).Bathrooms on each of the 3 levels.2 levels of snacks/drinks.Exit on each level directly to the street.Plenty of street parking even when football games are happening at the stadium nearby for as little as $8 a 5 minute walk away. Other lots are $40-100.

Saw Hamilton here this review. Have been here at least half a dozen times over 10 years. It is honestly hard to find a bad seat in the entire establishment. The scenery and decoration inside the theater as well as the concession area is top shelf and absolutely beautiful.Do you go down to the bathroom area after you enter to find concession stands that are empty with no lines!Parking is always terrible here so be prepared to pay $10-$30 for a spot depending on how close. Highly recommended for in town and out of town. The show was amazing would definitely come back.

We watched The lion king this weekend and musical itself was just perfect!Every moves the actors made and singing was amazing..bringing all the childhood memory back! But the bathroom situation in fox theater is disastrous. Cannot believe how little of the toilets stalls are in that such a big event venue, and intermission was only 15 mins..Many people had miss the first 10 mins of second half show and got angry because we all paid stiff price for the tickets.Seriously need some improvement on that

The Fox Theatre feels like a part of my story, from seeing Wide Spread Panic, 10'000 Maniacs, Squeeze, Adam Ant, REM, Meat Loaf, John Cougar, INXS, Blues Traveler, Pearl Jam, Tommy Shaw and Styx and most recently the Broadway show Shrek it just feels like home. Architecturally, its like stepping into a sheik's palace and I love the balcony, where you can sit under the stars as they glisten above you.

Wow, I was so worried about having a bad seat but as soon as I stepped in I realized there was no bad seat. I'm not someone who is easily impressed and after hearing all the reviews about how beautiful this place was, my expectations were pretty high yet even so this place blew them away. It is insanely gorgeous inside here. The ceiling is just beautiful and really transports you out of this world you just have to experience it in person to know what I'm talking about. One thing that surprised me was that everyone was dressed up. This was my first time at a Broadway show so I just wore a hoodie and some cargo pants but people were dressed up in suits and ball gowns, just keep that in mind. There's a bathroom and concession stands that have popcorn and drinks. The coke I bought was $5 (it was the one in the bottle) and there's that tip screen that pops up as well so there's that. The bathrooms were very clean and able to accommodate a lot of people. The seats were very good but there wasn't that much legroom so my knees were cramping up. Thank God for that intermission. If you're looking for a super quick bite to eat before the show, I recommend going to Papi's Cuban kitchen. It was very good. The prices were decent and the food came out fast. There was also an elevator in here for accessibility access. All in all I was very impressed and recommend everyone to see a show here!

Must go to place. The theater is amazing. Hamilton is playing here and what can I say. Amazing performance great seating. Now I recommend sitting in the middle area. Picture is from my seat which again sit in the middle when booking. I will not add anymore photos to ruin the experience. Planning the next show to see. Handicap seating is really available but the ushers and the staff of the theater are there to help. It is downtown area of Atlanta so cost on everything is much higher.

I have been fortunate enough to visit the Fox multiple times and see incredible performances of Annie, Finding Neverland, and Freaky Friday; however, my main focus is on the bedazzling spectacle that was Les Misérables on Saturday night, June 9th, 2024! This theatre is always packed with people so make sure to come early and prepared. The interior is absolutely stunning and very elegant. The show was just amazing. The singing performances were out of this world, the set was perfectly crafted, and the narrative was touching. The show was about 3 hours with a 20 minute interval. If you ever get the chance to come see a musical at the Fox, do not miss the opportunity

I recently had the chance to see "The Lion King" at The Fox Theater in Atlanta, and while the venue has a lot of charm, my overall experience was a bit underwhelming.First, the renovations that have taken place over the years are noticeable, one crucial element feels lacking: the stage size. Coming from experiences at various Broadway shows, I was surprised by how small the stage at The Fox felt. For a production as grand as "The Lion King," I expected a majestic presentation, but instead, it felt more like a school talent show. The narrow stage limited the visual impact of many of the performances, which was disappointing.I had seats in the main orchestra, specifically in the front third, and while the view was decent, the cramped staging made it hard to fully engage with the show. It felt like a missed opportunity for the kind of spectacle this production is known for.Additionally, the sound quality left much to be desired. It felt as though all the speakers were concentrated in the front area, which created a flat, one-dimensional audio experience. The surround sound effect that usually enhances such a grand production was notably absent, making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the music and dialogue.Furthermore, the staffing seemed insufficient. There weren’t enough attendants to help patrons find their seats, which led to a bit of confusion and frustration as people shuffled around. Even during the performance, it would have been nice to have someone circulating to ensure the audience remained quiet and engaged.Overall, while The Fox Theater has a storied history and often hosts fantastic Broadway shows, I’m not sure if I’ll rush back anytime soon. I hope they consider making some adjustments to the stage, sound system, and staffing for future productions to enhance the experience for audiences.

I took my granddaughter and sister to see The Lion King. Upon entering the Fox Theatre the line was moving quickly. The ushers were welcoming and strategically placed to answer questions, provide directions to your seat, or whatever else was needed. We were directed to the extra magic bags which contained a large and colorful program. We had seats that were six rows from the stage. The performance was outstanding; two curtain calls of outstanding. My granddaughter's eyes were round saucers and her mouth never closed in awe. That made the experience all the more satisfying. After the curtain calls, all exits were opened to allow for a steady flow out of the theatre. A wonderful time was had by all.

Wonderful experience during a comedy show. Very nice staff and it was easy to navigate through, even on a really busy night. They serve drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and popcorn. I didn’t see other foods but I also didn’t wait in line. The building was clean and they have a smoking area. The surround sound and TV screens were working well and we heard/saw the comedian very clearly. We prepaid parking and it was pretty simple to get to and from our parking space at the venue.

I have always wanted to visit the Fox Theater and am so glad to have finally made it there! The entire approach and entrance are absolutely beautiful. I felt like there was so much that needed to be seen before we enjoyed the show that brought us there. It really takes you back in time to imagine all the greats that performed in the theater. The theater which looked like the skies surrounding Alladin's Castle. Aside from the beauty of it all, the ushers were all very helpful and kind, and seemed glad to be there. If you ever get the opportunity to visit and take a look around - do it! You will not be disappointed.

The theater is beautiful and overall it’s usually a good time, but they really need to fix their audio. I have seen Hamilton and Wicked there and both were so quiet in parts you could not hear the lyrics. These shows are premium tickets and there is no reason to have to struggle to hear. New audio would make this theater 5 stars for sure. Overall, all it’s a good venue.

Specialty Museums
World of Coca-Cola is a museum which is dedicated to the history and culture of Coca Cola. It features hundreds of artifacts, some of which illustrate the success and popularity of the drink in different parts of the world for 132 years. The museum contains exhibits about different aspects of Coca Cola's history from its invention to its current branding strategies. There is also a working reproduction of the bottling line that produces Coke bottles all over the world.
My family and I had a fantastic time on the visit, which we had planned in advance by purchasing tickets. They've done a great job maintaining the historical data and relevant information. The best thing, though, has to be the variety of drinks available worldwide. We tried a lot, but there were too many to sample. The store that sold goodies was also really beautiful; we bought a lot of stuff for my two-year-old kid. Overall, if you're ever in Atlanta, I'd advise you to try to visit this location.

We absolutely had a blast! The drink tasting from all over the world was the best part! This is a great place to visit. It’s reasonably priced. They give you a souvenir and the gift shop had a vast amount of stuff to purchase and that was reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend you visit. We came during Veterans Day weekend and military was free.

Really cool place for people who love Coke! They have some very interesting historical pieces highlighting Coke's integral part in American History, cool exhibits, and a room where you can taste over 140 Coke brands on tap from all over the world! Really fun for people of all ages. ALSO FREE FOR MILITARY AND VETERANS! Thanks for supporting our troops Coke!

Read a bunch of comments on reddit about how World of Coca-Cola was a tourist trap but my daughter wanted to go so I kept my opinions to myself. I'm glad I did because it was a good time. I didn't think that initially when we were forced to watch what was essentially a six minute commercial for Coca-Cola at the start but it got better. The tasting room was indeed great but whether it was $21 great ($63 total) will be up to each individual to decide. For me, it was a decent way to spend 90 minutes with my family. I would not recommend visiting on a weekend, I was there on a Monday and the screening room was full.

Great museum! The vault experience was totally fun. My favorite part was tasting all of the different Coke products from around the world. Another favorite part was seeing the vault in person and learning the history of everything. The Oreo flavored Coke was delicious and I also purchased all 3 mystery bags and a crazy cute purse!

I recently visited the Coca-Cola Museum with my goddaughters, and we had a fantastic time! The exhibits were engaging and interactive, providing a fun learning experience for all of us. We especially enjoyed the tasting room, where we could try different Coca-Cola products from around the world. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful outing, and I highly recommend it for a fun and educational day with the family.

Pretty good experience, haven't been in a while. Only thing I didn't like was the guided tour that was in front of us. Staff would shut each exhibit down so the 5-6 person tour. The exhibits can handle much more than 5 people. I understand they paid more but integrate it in with the self guided tours. That's ridiculous making everyone wait. Everything else was fun and enjoyable.

Went to the “ world of Coca-Cola “ museum with my adult daughter for another bonding experience. She really enjoyed it. I did too considering that veterans get in free. We did the recommended self guided tour, starting with the lab, the vault, milestones, icons, discovery sent, and finishing with the taste room. The museum was very insightful and the employees were very knowledgeable about the history of the coke company. Receiving a souvenir cup with admission provided an opportunity for everyone to go home with memory of the museum. The gift shop was big and has a lot. The gift shop provides military/ veteran discounts too. This museum is worth visiting. Thanks for reading my daughter’s and my review. A heartfelt thumbs up would let me know others read these comments. have great day. give thanks to United States veterans.

Very thorough and intentional experience of the Coca-Cola brand! The guy who kicked everything off was superb and really set the tone. I had a great time visiting with wife and friends. You can taste sodas from all over the world at the end. Everyone should do it once.

I am not quite sure if it is worth visiting. Spending couple of bucks more for visiting Aquarium is much better option. It seams little bit outdated, the staff was not rude but also not kind. At the beginning they force you to watch some 10yrs old video which last 6 minutes. The only interesting things is maybe the tasting at the end, but from 20+ different flavours I liked 3, but some are really interesting.

What a fun museum!! A great place to spend an hour or two in Atlanta. Loved how interactive it was.The tasting room was very cool... It was fun to taste beverages from all around the world. (Despite the sugar high!)It was SUPER crowded on a weekend afternoon. By the time we got out (around 1pm), the line was across the park to get in.Overall, it was essentially a commercial for Coca Cola... But a really fun one.

Atlanta, the birthplace of Coca-Cola, offers a must-visit spot for fans of the brand. I went on a weekday, and the experience focused heavily on Coke’s history, featuring old ads and branding strategies. The highlight was sampling over 100 Coke beverages from around the world for free, which was a unique and fun experience. However, if you’re not a Coke enthusiast, the $27 entry fee may feel steep, as there isn’t a great deal to see. Plan for about an hour to explore.

July 2024I never knew so many people were interested in Coca-Cola where there was a huge line outside waiting to get inside. Luckily and recommend purchasing tickets online. They were just letting groups of people inside so can enjoy the place without overcrowding. As you wait they take your photo where at the end can purchase photos (print and digital) with different backgrounds. The place was full of Coca-Cola advertising memorabilia and the whole time spend 2 1/2 hours there. It's two stories and each section sometimes had a line to enter. The longest wait was to enter the vault but dd not see the secret formula where in another safe inside. It's seems this was all for show. The rest had fun activities like smelling weird things and tasting different worldly flavors of Coca-Cola products. The have a small cafe but only sell packaged sandwiches and drinks. There was a larger cafe outside next to the Georgia Aquarium. It was really fun to explore. You exit through the taste it! room into a huge store. You can enter the store without entering the World of Coca-Cola. They had all the merchandise with Coca-Cola on it. I took home a bag full of it.Overall a great place to visit but was hoping had some flavors from the Disney's Epcot location and sold bottled drinks from around the world.

Having been to the old Coke plant before I wasn’t sure what to expect coming here but it was better than I could have imagined. Very neat place to visit and enjoy one of our country’s great products and ever better stories of success in business. Hard work and dedication pay off big time for the company and its people for sure. The history is amazing and the memorabilia is priceless. Enjoy your time and don’t be in a rush. Take your time. Be sure and enjoy the faces of the people sampling soda around the world in the tasting room. You will get a kick out of the expression on people’s faces. Lol. Just a hint, we do it better than any other country on the planet! The staff are very kind and friendly. Seem to enjoy their job. Enjoy your visit.

When I was young, I was a Pepsi kid. Older and wiser, now i think Coke is definitely the soft drink I prefer whenever I have a soda. In saying that, this place was cool to check out for a couple of hours. A lot of interactive exhibits and just the history behind Coca-Cola were very interesting. At the end, they have a large area to grab a small cup and sample A LOT of different products from around the world. Just a people watching suggestion, hang out around the dispenser that has "Beverly" from Italy. Look at people's reaction to tasting this one...I promise you, it will be time well spent.

We had a great time. I really enjoyed all the old advertising memorabilia and the history of Coca-Cola from the beginning. This is definitely a place to bring the entire family you could see how much everyone loved trying all the different Coke products from around the world. If you're in the Atlanta area this is a must stop

So fun!! Absolutely loved my visit here.Wasn't really a wait outside. Got out tickets and went right in. At the start there is a small educational introduction to the museum and the 3 areas you will be able to explore on your own, we went right to the vault and got to try a new coke flavor, it was pink and kind of tasted like strawberry cream bubblegum to me. Then we made our way to a memorabilia hall and did some smelling guesses for some things. (The thought of putting my face to where hundreds of other people put their face to smell bothered me) But it was still fun! Obviously, the funnest room is the tasting room where there are soda fountain stations from all over the world, some were delicious, others were some of the foulest things I've put in my mouth. I think some of the worst that stood out to me was a Sour Plum fanta from China, or this Honey flavored soda. The worst of all lived up to its reputation, The Beverly is easily one of the nastiest chemical foul sodas I've ever put in my mouth. Me and all of my friends recoiled in disgust. It was a really fun time. Very sticky floors in that room. The gift shop has really nice quality clothes and merchandise as well.

I came from out of town as a tourist just wanting to get out in the city and explore Atlanta. This museum was an amazing experience and treat. When you arrive you’ll be taking a picture from the staff I wasn’t sure what it was for at first but it’s just for memories. After that you get to explore the history, the many brands that Coca Cola owns outside of the soda , you get to do a smell test of different scents, a taste test of different Coca Cola flavors/ products from around the world , & you finish off with the merchandise shop which didn’t disappoint I just wish I had more money. Overall great experience, great location, great atmosphere. 10/10 highly recommended and I am definitely coming again !! I also recommend getting the city pass where you have the option to go to the other festivities as well like the aquarium, and history museum that’s in the same location as well so save money on buying tickets individually.

Oh boy... my wife and I were super excited to visit the World of Coca-Cola museum, but it left a lot to be desired. Firstly, you can buy your tickets in advance, but then when you get to the museum, there's a MASSIVE line to get in. I'm not sure what needs to be done, but when you choose a time slot for your ticket in advance, you would think that the museum would adjust and properly sort it all out so you can enter when it's time but it just felt extremely chaotic. Right before you get into the actual musuem, you're ushered into a room to look at historical artifacts and then ushered into a theatre room which probably adds to the bottleneck issue (our qualm with this is that the initial artifact room had some really interesting stuff in there that was essentially rushed through since you need to get into the theatre room immediately after their initial introductions). After finally getting into the museum, the chaos continued because as you walk through exhibits, you're not sure if there are showings, videos, etc. and none of the staff is really trying to help or guide people. So you're REALLY on your own. Overall, it felt like a money grab museum... the only thing that we really liked was the Taste It! Exhibit where you get to taste Coca-Cola beverages from around the world that you may not be able to get in your local country. The gift shop had a lot of good variety of stuff to buy and some things that maybe you can only get in other countries but because this is their museum they have those options here. At the end of the day, it was an experience nonetheless, whether it was good or bad, it was good to experience it at least once. Maybe I'll come with my children down the line, but I would never come again just because I was around or feeling it. Definitely not one of those museums you want to keep coming back to, nor does it give you any incentive to.

I am giving one star not because that’s didn’t have a nice building, or interesting exhibits but because it it not worth $22. We had five in our group and every one of us were wondering what we paid $22.00 for. It is max a $9 value. Lower your prices a bit and I will put four stars here. After paying $20 to park, we paid $130 for about 30 minutes of entertainment.

I had just one day to explore Atlanta and decided to check out the World of Coca-Cola. While it was a fun experience overall, I found it a bit pricey for what it offers. The museum itself felt slightly dusty and could use some updates, especially considering the ticket cost and that it’s Coca-Cola. That said, it was still enjoyable to see the secret recipe vault and take part in several fun photo ops along the way. The highlight was definitely the tasting room at the end, where you get to try Coca-Cola beverages from around the world. A good time, but could be better for the price!

First time visiting the World of Coca-Cola since they moved from the Underground Area. Loved the exhibits, the stories, and the taste room. The taste room had some good flavors from around the world, but also some that were disgusting. It was a very enjoyable experience. You have to be patient since there is a lot of kids, different nationalities, and just people trying to take in the experience. A must if in Atlanta.

I love history. It has been a long time since the Coca-Cola Museum was relocated, and I love how they explain the history of the beginning of this corporation. The kids and young people have a lot of fun and entertainment. Hones share: We didn't want to pay for the museum since we only had 1 hour before they closed. However the Gift Shop is next to it and it's free. You can see inside the tasting center from one of the sides of the gift shop and honestly it was cool but not worth paying for, for us. We bought a lot of gifts for our Coca-Cola loving family and all the employees were friendly and helpful. We loved the gift shop and did spend a pretty penny so be prepared for the prices. I would go back again and shop there. The park outside was also very pretty. We went on a Monday afternoon and were so happy with the amount of people there, it was not jammed full and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park is an oasis of green space and interactive attractions perfect for a summer day out. The fountain, the Fountain of Rings, can be synchronized to music and light displays and is great for children to enjoy. Nearby attractions include the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, and the Childrens Museum of Atlanta.
I haven’t visited Centennial Olympic Park in some years and since the hotel we were staying at was within walking distance, we decided to go for a stroll. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays, very family and dog-friendly. There were some “characters” around but it’s Atlanta.

It was clean so far and well-maintained...in terms of urban trees, plants, amenities, seats & walkways which is relaxing. The greens around is refreshing to the eyes while you can see the giant ferries wheel at a distance. This was my landmark when I navigate my way to the nearby attractions such as coca cola museum, aquarium and college football hall of fame.I gave 4 stars because there was a time I worry about my safety when there was not enough security within the park.

Whether you’re there for a walk, a picnic, or just to soak in the history, it is a treat.

July 2024Centennial Olympic Park was magnificent. The ground keepers have done a great job to it clean and kept up. The vegetation was very green and manicured. You will see artifacts from the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Kids were playing in the Fountain of Rings to stay cool and there was a playground too. It looked like a cafe was closed for renovation.I noticed there was a police presence to make sure homeless or shady people stay out of the park grounds. We felt very safe walking in it during the day and night.

Have wanted to see this park for awhile. They have done some great things with it pertaining to the fountains they have here. It drew a pretty good crowd on the Thursday afternoon that I stopped. Lots of stuff to read about. Just a nice park right in the middle of Atlanta, just a short walk to the other attractions.

Upon entering it becomes apparent that this park is well cared for because it's cleaner than most hotels. The color scheme was well thought out. The great variety of trees is a showcase of native trees of Georgia. Many monuments commemorating historical figures n events. It has cameras throughout the park n police patrol the park all day by golf carts. Extra clean public bathroom in the main office area. The many shaded areas of the park offer a refreshing sitting spots next to beautiful water falls n water parks. The park is surrounded by restaurants, hotels and free street cars. A must see place to visit again and again.

Beautiful spring day, early in the morning, was a lovely time to visit. Had the place to myself. Can be enjoyed as a big open space lined by pavillions, water features and a playground. Or if you have the time, walk through the "quilt" areas, each dedicated to a different aspect of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. I was fascinated by the amount of thought and detail that was put into the planning of this space. Loved all the water features, including the splash park that you can walk through. Fun stop!

Nice and clean park. There's not much there to do, except walk. It is a historic site with plenty of restaurants and tourist attractions in the area. There is a water area for the kids to play in, so bring a towel and a change of clothes if you plan to partake. You will have to pay to park on the street but it's inexpensive. It's better to go in the evening, when it's hot as hot. They have scooters for rental as well when you download the app.

I visited Centennial Olympic Park on 15th August 2024. The park is a significant landmark with a lot of history, and it offers plenty of green space and attractions like the Fountain of Rings, which is a highlight, especially for families and tourists. The landscaping is well-done, and it’s a nice place to walk around, enjoy the views, and take in the Olympic legacy. However, the experience was somewhat dampened by the presence of numerous homeless individuals throughout the park. While I understand it’s a public space, their presence was quite prominent, and at times, their behavior made it challenging to fully appreciate the park’s beauty and significance. It would be beneficial if there were more efforts to manage this situation to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the park comfortably.Overall, Centennial Olympic Park is a historic and scenic spot, but the experience could be improved with better management of the area.

The Georgia Aquarium is iconic for many reasons. We came here using the Atlanta City Pass and were able to go to five different attractions for a very reasonable price. When we arrived, they said that only tickets for a specific time would be allowed inside. City Pass does not have that constraint, so we were able to walk right in. This is a great place, but it was super busy. Every exhibit was crowded to the point where I felt rushed and not enjoying the experience, but there were some moments where I did. They also had the collaboration with Animal Crossing and we got to meet the Tom Nook and Isabelle mascots, which was super cool! They also had little signs with information from the game with educational components which was also very neat to see! The exhibits here are awesome. The animals have plenty of space and plenty of care which I love about this aquarium and other AZA-accredited aquariums. We probably spent about 2.5 hours here. There's a lot to look at, and I could probably spend hours watching some of the animals swim around. The whale sharks are one of the most unique things about this aquarium, and seeing them in person is so cool. They are magnificent creatures and I am glad that there is a facility here that can foster their success. They have done a lot of great conservation work and education. Their gift shop is huge and has a lot of pricey items, but I like to think that the money goes to a good place.

YOU GOT TO SEE THIS PLACE!!! Never saw overflown trash. The dolphin shown was a definitely worth the watch. We paid the extra for the best seats in the house which I recommend getting to be able to see at the right spot. Sea lion show was adorable aswell but the dolphin show was the best as my girls state.Buying tickets online was a breeze. Would come back for the aquarium but the outside was the scare read below….!!!!!!!!!READ!!!!!!! This will not affect the score of review please read!!!After leaving the aquarium I recommend keeping an eye on the children of yours and stay away from the playground across the street. I went to go get the car and left my mom and the 2girls for them to play. Well my mom had daughter someone recording my daughter with a recording device. My mom quick thinking got the girls and walked off but he walked up to her asking for money. She was on the phone with me at the time asking for me hurry back to where she was. I told her to walk over to the valet across the street to get around other people in the opening.WATCH YOUR SURROUNDINGS!!! Trafficking is real and happening!!

The Georgia Aquarium is an incredible place that offers an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with stunning displays and an impressive range of marine life, from playful dolphins to awe-inspiring whale sharks. The Ocean Voyager exhibit, with its massive tank, is a true highlight—walking through the tunnel surrounded by such a variety of sea creatures is magical. The layout of the aquarium is well thought out, making it easy to explore each section, and there’s plenty of interactive exhibits for kids and adults alike. The dolphin and sea lion shows are also a must-see, showcasing both the intelligence of the animals and the dedication of their trainers. The only minor downside is that it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends or holidays, which can make it hard to fully enjoy some of the exhibits. A bit more space in certain areas would make it perfect. That said, the aquarium is clean, well-maintained, and full of fascinating educational information.Overall, the Georgia Aquarium is one of the best I've visited—definitely worth the trip and almost perfect in every way!

I enjoyed the experience, although the layout is a lot like a shopping mall (which was overwhelming for me). I lost my phone at one point and a staff member was able to quickly help me retrieve it! Each exhibit was unique and had guides stationed well-throughout to tell you more about each species. If you prefer a quiet experience, I recommend earplugs or headphones bc there are a lot of families, which gets noisy. The Halloween decor was also a nice touch.

I have been to this aquarium a few times and every single time it’s AMAZING. I have to give a special shout out to our behind the scenes tour guide, Joseph. He was so kind, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about the aquarium and the animals. He made the tour really fun and engaging. It was pretty crowded while we were there but he said hi to me when he saw me later. It really made me feel seen and boosted my excitement. Every exhibit is so cool and I think I could spend forever at this aquarium.

Did the dive with the gentle giants and it was such an amazing experience! They were thorough with their pre dive plan and the dive itself was breathtaking! The rest of the aquarium was absolutely beautiful and the animals look well cared for and the exhibits are clean. We stayed almost the whole time they were open. Would definitely visit again and would definitely do the dive again!

It’s always fun to visit any aquarium so when in Atlanta this is a must do. It’s is large but can still be crowded on the weekends. I found the variety of fish and displays are vast. There is something for everyone. I do recommend buying tickets in advance. Doing this I was able to save about $15 per ticket. It also helps cut the wait time. I would highly recommend this for anyone.

Celebrated our granddaughter's birthday at the Aquarium. Cost a small fortune. The longer you wait to buy your tickets on a day trip, the more you pay. Food costs were more than Disney's prices which is saying a lot. However, the Aquarium is very clean, organized and we saw a lot of really cool things. I do wish there were more interactive things to do with children. All and all...we had a great time and spent 4hrs and we were able to see pretty much everything and have lunch.

It's amazing here. Definitely see the shows. The sea lion and dolphin shows were both amazing. I recommend going as early as possible to the dolphin show as it is a huge auditorium and it fills up fast. Also, the soak zone is no joke. It isn't light splashes, people were drenched and the water was cold. I sat in the 11th row (first row of blue seats) and still got splashed (a couple droplets). Center seats are better than side seats for viewing.

If your looking for a good way to spend some time this place is definitely it. Took roughly 2.5hrs to leisurely see everything and there's even special educational shows you can watch. This place was everything I had hoped an aquarium to be from a giant under water wall to hands on experiences and special tours. All of the exhibits have informational plaques on what is in each tank and some even have special viewing areas that put you up close. All of the exhibits were stunning and full of life.

Absolute GREAT experience!!!! Visited the Aquarium on Saturday around 10am, no line. Viewed all the attractions. Enjoyed live entertainment, pirates walking on stilts interacting with guests, dancers, and singers. Loved all the animals but the Shark Whales are now my favorite. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend stopping in.Can't wait to come back in the evening for trick r treat.

🌊🐠 **A Wonderful Birthday Celebration at the Atlanta Aquarium!** 🎉🐬I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at the Atlanta Aquarium with my husband, and let me tell you, it was an experience that exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we stepped through the gates, we were transported into an enchanting underwater world filled with vibrant marine life and awe-inspiring exhibits. One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the mesmerizing sharks. Watching these majestic creatures glide gracefully through the water was both exhilarating and humbling. It’s an incredible reminder of the beauty and mystery that our oceans hold. And if that wasn’t enough, the dolphin show was the cherry on top! The playful dolphins showcased their intelligence and grace, leaving us in awe of their incredible talents. It was a joy to see them interact with their trainers and perform breathtaking stunts.I wholeheartedly recommend setting aside at least 3-4 hours for your visit, especially if you want to take in the full experience and reserve time for the shows. Each exhibit offers something unique, and there’s so much to learn and discover. It’s a feast for the senses and a wonderful opportunity to connect with the wonders of the aquatic world. As we soaked in the sights and sounds, I couldn’t help but think how perfect this place would be for our kids. The Atlanta Aquarium is not just a destination; it’s an invitation to explore, to wonder, and to bond as a family. We’re already planning our next trip, and I can’t wait to share this wonderful experience with our children. If you’re looking for a place to spark joy and create lasting memories, I highly recommend visiting the Atlanta Aquarium. This place is absolutely amazing. There is a ton of stuff to do and a family could really make a full day of it. The animals and their environment were very well maintained. The gift shop is a bit on the pricey side but I expected this for an attraction like this. I highly recommend visiting the aquarium.

I absolutely love aquariums! This one would have to be one of my top favorites! There is so much to see. You can spend hours here. The price is all worth it. Highly recommend!I also want to add that I went on a Monday and felt like it was not crowded at all! Highly recommend going on a week day.

Let me start by saying, this aquarium is by far the best my family and I have been too. The staff are all welcoming and the facilities are clean. They really cater to families and keep nursing mothers in mind. All four stars go to the entertainment and the amazing marine life Georgia Aquarium cares for. what an amazing learning experience and the fact you can literally spend the whole day here made it even more worth it. Also, loved that they decorated for Halloween, wish I can see how they setup for Christmas! The show dolphin and sea lion shows were absolutely amazing and really set the bar high. A must visit attraction when in Georgia.Took a star away due to the food offered. Wasn’t great at all, so I do recommend eating prior to entering the aquarium as the food/drinks are a bit overpriced for what you get in terms of quality and taste.Overall the best experience!

Our group of 10 recently visited the Georgia Aquarium, and it was an incredible experience for everyone. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the variety and scale of the exhibits. The aquarium is beautifully designed, and it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a space where visitors can learn about marine life while having a lot of fun.One of the highlights for our group was the Ocean Voyager exhibit. Seeing the enormous whale sharks up close was awe-inspiring, and the underwater tunnel made us feel like we were truly submerged in their world. The Beluga whales were another favorite, gracefully gliding through the water and offering us a glimpse of their playful personalities. The wide viewing window and the dolphins show were my favorite. I sat for 15 min listening to music and watching the window. You can sit on the stairs facing the window and enjoy the view. The aquarium has a wide range of species on display, from tiny colorful fish to massive sea creatures. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re fascinated by sharks, dolphins, or even jellyfish. The interactive exhibits were a hit, especially for the kids in our group, who loved getting hands-on with the touch pools. What really stood out was how well-organized everything was, despite the large number of visitors. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the exhibits and ensuring we had a great experience.Overall, the Georgia Aquarium exceeded our expectations. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Atlanta, whether you’re with family, friends, or a large group like ours. We all left with lasting memories and a newfound appreciation for marine life.

In my decades of life, this will be one of my most unforgettable experiences and best memories, and it will also be my favorite aquarium to visit. Visiting the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, gave me a rich knowledge of the world of marine life.Georgia Aquarium is one the most top in the world. In the environment of this huge aquarium, from the entrance to the exit, I saw many creatures from the depths of the vast ocean, as well as other marine amphibians. From some small shallow sea creatures that appeared in front of me at the beginning to the huge fish swimming in the deep sea hall, they all attracted my attention strongly. This made me have a strong desire to learn about them.In this aquarium, we saw dolphins, manta rays (stingrays/devil fish), sharks, beluga whale, seahirses, sea turtles, penguins and many other large and small, strange and colorful marine life. When we walked into the deep water exhibition hall, what appeared in front of us seemed to be a huge TV screen, or a huge glass wall display window, showing a group of large and small marine life swimming inside. We also walked into a large underwater glass tunnel about 100 meters long. Here, we saw many kinds of deep-sea creatures swimming in the water above our heads. We were really excited, as if they were really within reach above our heads. We can also go to the viewing platform on the top of the aquarium to look down at the beluga whale and sharks floating on the water, and marvel at their huge bodies more than ten meters long in front of us.Visitors who like to watch marine life performances can also stay longer in the museum to watch the performances. In conclusion, this huge aquarium in Atlanta of Georgia USA is really a top aquarium we must visit in our life. No doubt how much cost and tired feel you will get, it absolutely is worth to visit. We can use Atlanta City Pass or purchase tickets online preparing a convenient visit of ours. Hope you will be satisfied for coming here.

Place is absolutely enormous and much bigger than you're anticipating. I love going to aquariums and have always wanted to visit. While evacuating from hurricane Milton, I had to go through Atlanta and decided to stop in. I loved every exhibit and the place was crowded even for a Thursday. I figured it wouldn't be.Went and saw the dolphin show while there and, while tacky, was still entertaining. You know people are having fun when the screams of being splashed drowns out the music.Absolutely recommend visiting at least once. Easily the best aquarium I've ever been to.

Wow! This aquarium is very well done! The animals look very happy and you can take your time exploring the displays. The shark tank was so cool with sharks that were just as interested in people as we were with them! The display with the whale shark was so memorable. We went in the evening because they had a $25pp promotion. The kids in there really loved it. The gift shops had some cool toys and trinkets.

Had a blast!! Took the grandkiddo and he LOVED the different fish. Lots of people, but what do you expect, but everyone was moving along and letting the little ones get close to the tanks to see the fish closer. We had a great time and will go again!!

I’ve been here twice! The last time was just last week with my husband. We spent about $53 each and stayed for 3-4 hours. We didn’t reserve our tickets in advance, we just went there and bought tickets from their kiosk. We had a great time! Since we went on a weekday, the crowd was small, making the experience even more enjoyable. We reserved tickets to watch both the sea lion and dolphin shows! Food? A bit pricey. We didn’t eat there.

You should definitely buy tickets online. The price difference between online and at the door is significant. Also, be sure to make day-of reservations to see the sea lions and dolphins shows. We love coming to the aquarium, and we had a great time
